Here are the remaining games for the 3 teams fighting for the NFC West title.

Seahawks

@ Falcons
Colts
Rams
@ Panthers
@ 49ers

Rams

@ Cardinals
Lions
@ Seahawks
@ Falcons
Cardinals

49ers

Bye
Titans
@Colts
Bears
Seahawks

With the Niners getting a later bye both us and the Rams need a win to stay ahead of them. With that said the Niners and Seahawks each only have one losing team in their schedule and it’s each teams next game. The Rams have 3 games vs teams with a losing record.

The saving grace in this schedule isn’t get to play the Rams and the Niners one more time each and this games should be HUGE, but with the remaining schedule and the current records every week it’s important now.

And this is my point here.

We CAN NOT stumble if we want decent seeding.

We cannot stumble if we want a ticket to even get into the dance.

At this point I’m calling every game a MUST WIN, this could change if other teams stumble along the way, but we certainly can’t count on any of them doing so.

Yep, every game is huge. I'm not expecting them to go 5-0 to finish the season. That's fairly unrealistic. They are CAPABLE, but I just don't see it. 3-2 would put them at 12-5, that should get them a playoff spot. I'd have a hard time scoffing at a 12-win season.

Of course I am biased but I honestly see us winning out. Rams lose two more finishing 12-5, 9ers win one more finishing 10-7. Seahawks win the division at 14-3 securing the #1 seed.

You're welcome.

What has made me feel better is that there is almost no way for the Seahawks to win a tiebreaker against us at this point if we finish with the same record. If we drop a game to the Cardinals or Falcons, Seattle will end up with a better record. But any scenario that has us finishing with the same record, we will win the division because of record against common opponents. Obviously any hope Seattle has at winning the division rests on wins against the Rams and Niners, so that we all end up with a 4-2 division record (if we beat the Cardinals) and splits across the board.

From there, Seattle would be a game up on the Rams. But if they lose one of their other games - Falcons, Colts or Panthers - and end up with the same record as us, we'll have a better record against our common opponents by a game.

All that to say - you control your own destiny, but to win the division, the Seahawks most likely need to win out. And for us, IF we lose to Seattle we need to win our other games and get some help.

can you imagine winning 12 games and not making the playoffs?

How it could play out based on the ESPN playoff predictor. Seattle must win out for the #1 seed.

If we drop one to the Rams, it looks like this:

Like I said to @Seahawkfan80, if the power of positive thinking actually works, yall might save our season.

Don’t get me twisted, I’m stoked things are going well.

It’s a fact however, 50 years of this stuff makes shedding my skepticism impossible.

It obviously all starts with Atlanta this week. They're a sneaky team, and we've essentially had a two-week "preseason" stretch where our offense didn't need to challenge. They need to come out ready to do so this weekend.

How the Panthers beat the Rams, they can not longer be considered an easy W, the rest of our schedule looks tough 3 road games, and the 2 home game are going to be tough outs.. The Rams schedule looks to be a lot easier than ours, hopefully the Cards steal one of those games, and St. Brown can make back for that Lions game..

OR......maybe the Rams are not the world beaters that so many make them out to be?

They don't have to beat the world, just us, thats been our big issue. Colts and Panthers I would not take lightly either, Falcons can catch fire, and well the 49ers are finding magic tricks to get wins even injured. Nothing is going to be easy, this is where you find out what kind of character this team has for the home strech.

I imagine we need to realistically win out for the 1 seed and the division. Probably win our next 2 for a wild card spot.
