Not sure that’s the correct term but I think I works.

With all the talk about the Rams, and us catching up with them.

Have we forgotten about the 9ers?

In case you’re not paying attention, they are only a 1/2 game back.
To be completely honest, I don’t know how they have been able but I suspect it’s because they are actually very well coached and better than given credit for.

Having said that, we CAN NOT stumble or we find ourselves in 3rd place.
Hell, a wildcard spot isn’t locked up yet.

LFG, Seahawks
Keep your feet firmly on the ground, watch your step.
No stumbles.

Niners scare me still. They are well coached and make plays.

Nope, we just let sleeping dogs lie, besides, what can you do and why worry about what you can't do.

Logical but it’s not how most think.

Awareness is more my point than “worry”.

Yea I get it, nothing WE can actually do but that’s not how being a football fan typically works (least for most of them I know)

They've been hanging around this year and are sitting in a dangerous spot. They're clearly being very well-coached this year given their (systemic at this point) injury plague. They have quality wins against us and the Rams, while we have quality wins against Houston, Jacksonville, and Pittsburgh (strong back then). We both play Indy in back-to-back weeks so that'll be an interesting measuring stick. They have a short turnaround off of that Indy game to play Chicago, which looks a lot different now than earlier this year.

Seattle will have to beat them at the end of the regular season; we cannot choke that game away (AGAIN)

Yeah, not looking like there will be any "rest" games at the end of the season. Every game matters.

There are 8 teams (maybe 9 if you count Carolina hanging around) competing for 7 spots

Niners are likely going to be one of the teams that get in

Detroit seems to be the odd team out at this point, but if they win out or go 4-1, one of us, Niners, Rams, Bears, Packers will be left out

It's going to take at least 11 wins to get in most likely

Stacked NFC this year

The great thing is they both have to go thru us. They have no choice. We may be the only hurdle they have....So bring it or go home.

Look, nobody hates the Niners more than I do. But to be where they are with all these injuries? Pretty damn impressive, and annoying. Shanahan is a hell of a coach. And yes, that hurt to say. Not sure I would call them scary, but dangerous for sure. Same with the Rams. I stick to my opinion that they are not some world beaters that are somehow automatically SB bound. Let's ask the Panthers if they think the Rams are unstoppable.

They reaped the benefit of the easiest schedule in the league as well as excellent scheduling timing by getting strong opponents early in the season. (Before their injuries and before young teams like us had a chance to settle into our identity).

They are a good team, but will not make a deep run if they get in. I love that they will picking in the mid to high 20’s in next years draft. Meanwhile, their core of Williams, Kittle, and CMac keep getting older.

Easy schedule for sure. But still, pretty damn impressive to be where they are.

I have not forgotten about the 49ers I check on them every week they have impressed me this year, and Kyle has them playing well even with the injuries this season...

The NFC in general has no one singular scary team; rather 8 or 9 very talented teams with variability being the only noticeable difference week to week.
Whoever ends up being the number 1 seed will not have quite the same level of invulnerability that they usually have.

I was playing around with the tie breakers this afternoon; LA seems to have us covered in all scenarios that we lose one more game this year (non Rams game) and they only lose the game against us. So it’s a tough climb for us to get the division crown; let alone the 1.
