What I like seeing is more in the way of tackle/guard and tackle/center combos pulling from one side of the formation to the other. Saw a lot more of that in this game. Although I don't have additional film to contribute, the offensive line is looking better and better. Nice evolving team work. Beautiful.

When I saw the OL pulling while watching the game I thought I was seeing things, I can’t remember the Seahawks ever doing that It’s indicative of a power running game the Redskins of the 80s and presently the Ravens will do this

Former Patriot John Hannah was one of the best pulling OGs I remember ever watching

Was glad to see the offense do what it did on sunday. I was hopeful things would look different based on Grubbs presser last week where he talked a lot about lesrning the pro game and how to play the co.plimentary gane as opposed to just assuming you will be able to run 80 plays a game over the course of multiple possessions. He seems to finally be understanding the pro game and how to structure an offense around strategically possessing the ball, rather than just pushing it downfield and scoring as much as possible.

Hope to see it continue.

Nice post.

Contriving effective adjustments is what game planning is all about. It is heartening to see Grubb figuring that out, but I think that was made more possible due to improved play as individuals working together by the O Line. Did he manage to do both in two weeks? Whatever, it has made a big difference in level of team play in our favor. Sure hope they can do it again this week vs the Pack.

I guess Ryan Grubb must come on .net. Last week, we were begging him to run more counter plays. Not saying "I told you so", but I told you so:

One of the nice things about growing up in Maine and learning to play football from the town police chief's youngest son, who was not just a fan of the Patriots, but especially of the guys in the trenches, was that I was able, despite my very young age and despite not being a Patriots fan, to really appreciate the greatness of the Patriots' offensive line in the '70s.

Sam Adams and the center, Lenkaitis, didn't get awards, but they were good players. Leon Gray was a first-team All-Pro left tackle for the Patriots in '78 after having previously made a Pro Bowl for them. But the star of the line was undoubtedly Hog Hannah.

It was hinted at that they have learned to work with the players they have, doing things they can do, rather than trying to force things they can't. Mac said something similar the week or so prior to the defense turning things around.

On offense, i think its been a combination of the coaches getting more experience and figuring thjngs out (this has been hinted at in several interviews with Mac), the scheme being tailored to the players, Grubb refining his approach, and the roght guys being on the field - and then them developing continuity.

So its more a perfect storm of things happening right now than any one thing.

And its alllll goood.
