Sando was insightful and objective and had ESPN's vast stats database at his disposal along with the desire and keen eye to use it. I clipped so many relevant facts from his columns last year but it's apparent that the well is gone and lost forever. It's depressing.
Sando's punctilious nature shone through every post, from his carefully balanced POV to his impeccable grammar and spelling. I once emailed him to correct Luke's last name and he said his editor's style guide must have been wrong since it was correct in his draft. Since then, I'd been attributing the strict rules following of his posts to editors, but Blount's posts are riddled with errors. It doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
What once had been a daily visit is now not even bookmarked, since I know it's just going to be sloppy rehashes of stuff I've read elsewhere.
