I love The Red Zone. My wife thinks I'm nuts. On the typical NFL Sunday, I'll have a network-televised game on one TV and the Red Zone on another. I'm currently getting it through FuboTV, but depending on how ESPN decides to distribute it, it could end up being on something like ESPN+. That might cause me to change providers.

Yeah, that's my fear, too. It's currently commercial free, but I wouldn't be surprised if they start sneaking some 15 second ads in there.

But the good news is that the TV broadcast market, with all the internet streaming services, is so competitive that they'll be forced to keep the price within reason.

The NFL's marketing of their games has changed dramatically over the past few years. This season, Netflix gets two of the triple header games on Xmas day while Prime Video gets to televise a Black Friday game on Thanksgiving weekend. They've kept the playoff games on network stations, but I suspect that they'll be fair game for the streaming services in another year or to as well.

On Friday, I paid about $89 for a year of live access to all NFL games from preseason through the Super Bowl, plus access to the whole library of games already played in three formats: a no-commercial full-length version, a 40-minute remove-boring-parts version, and a five-to-ten-minute highlight summary. Oh, plus the All-22. I also get NFL Network and NFL RedZone. NFL Game Pass kicks ass.

I haven't got a cent of credit-card debt, I don't need to work for other people, and I live pretty well. How 'bout you? If an expenditure on the order of $100 is too big for you, your derision of "extra bullshit" sounds to me like sour grapes.

I'm in this boat with @Lagartixa. A couple of years ago when I had Charter Spectrum for my TV provider, I was paying upwards of $180/month for the same package that I now pay $110/month for. When I take out the ISP part of the Spectrum service, it's virtually a push. But when you take into consideration that I can share my subscription with my brother and daughter, it's quite a bit cheaper than my previous setup.

Plus, I have no special equipment, no satellite dish hanging off my house, no cable box. And I can change subscription levels and/or TV providers instantly.

So, if I have to pay $10 for a month's subscription to Netflix so I can watch a couple of Xmas day games, I'm still money ahead. Sure, it's a little complicated figuring out the various systems, but it ain't rocket science, either.

As far as I'm concerned, the changing landscape is a positive, not a negative.

Holy Cow. $89 bucks? That’s awesome.

You know what’s becoming bullshit in the States? Sunday Ticket. $480 bucks (or $100 less if you subscribe to YT TV). It used to mean I can watch every game, but I find myself invariably needing other pay services to watch games I want. Nothing chaps my ass more than paying $500 bucks and having to still wonder if I’m going to get to see the Seahawks play. I’m sorry, but Sunday ticket and its inordinate price tag should supersede other agreements.

Heck, I should do the empirical research and count how many games a year I watch exclusively available through Sunday ticket that I wouldn’t have access to otherwise. Between network games, Amazon, Netflix, ESPN, NFL network etc., I bet it’s not that many.

I know there are potentially other ways to get games, but I have no interest in those sketchy websites that pop up a thousand windows you can’t close on how to make your penis harder or whatever.

Glad I stream this for free. Only games I watch now are seahawks. Red zone for everything else.

I have International Game Pass, I also get ALL NFL games and all the options That Lagartixa gets. Also I can go back and watch games clear back to our Super Bowl. $139.00 per year. Have had it for 4 years. Costa Rica must be a little more then Brazil.

I've been subscribing to it since 2018, and it's really EVERY game.

In the US it’s called NFL+ premium and you get what I stated plus live game audio but no video for every game and then some fantasy football tools you can use. You guys must outside of the US where they call it NFL game pass. I wish I got every game that cheap here.

I'm sticking with the free options. Half, or more, of my team's games are on FOX, which is free online. If not, the site that duplicated GamePass in 2023 and 2024 had the HoF game so they're still my #2 choice for NFL games. Failing that the main streaming site I use for most other sports and some tv normally has NFL links. As a last resort I have a webpage that provides links from lower quality NFL streamers. If i'm not going to watch a game live then the Russian site listed multiple times in 'full game' engine searches has full games going way back. As always good quality antivirus, VPN, and blocking software are a prerequisite.

I prefer enjoying a live radio broadcast which allows me to attend to my business at hand without interruption. Then, at my convenience, I'll review the film to examine, in detail, what played out. Useful for appreciating the state of the team for any given week as well as assessing the strengths and weaknesses of upcoming opponents. It's what coaches and the media talking heads do. Useful for fans as well. Healthy for brain logic.

I dropped Fubo cause I had Hulu and Fubo and my wife won’t let me drop Hulu so I got the mariners through the root sports app. Hulu has everything but the mariners

Yep. STH get it for $59. It's worth it, imo. But it used to be free. Just 2 seasons ago.

Years ago, I used to listen to the radio play-by-play with Pete Gross and turn the volume on the TV down. The radio feed was a second or two ahead of the TV signal, but not so much as to make it unwatchable. The radio call is much more descriptive, and the local guys had more insight, knew how to pronounce the players' names, etc, because they called all of the Hawk games and traveled with the team vs. the network guys.

I can't do that nowadays because the radio signal is way, way ahead of the TV feed, even the OTA feed, and even if I could, I've changed my viewing habits where I have two or three games/Red Zone on simultaneously plus my fantasy team.
