Excuse making. Once during a Little League baseball game, my dad, who was the assistant coach of my team, whipped my ass because I came back to the dugout complaining about a called third strike: "If it's close enough to be called a strike, it's close enough to swing at!" he roared. And that's just one example. Dad would get furious whenever I complained about the weather, field conditions, or any other condition that was beyond my immediate control. Life's not fair. Get used to it.

That's why you don't find me amongst the bellyachers complaining about Super Bowl XL.
Makes me think of my pops at my little league games. I asked him after a strikeout "Was that a strike, Dad?"
He's like "The ump called it strike, so yes. You can't get a hit with the bat on your shoulders"

Yep, excuses don't change facts.
