Does anybody truly feel that Russ is going to leave, or Pete will be dismissed, or Norton will be fired, etc,,,,? I dont. Not next year anyways. Maybe the year after.

I think KNJ is gonna go and so is RW. That’s where I’m leaning at this moment.

Of course things change. Things change both during the year and from year to year.

Nope i don't think anything is going to change.

I think the hawks could have a14-3 season and you will still say Pete needs to be fired. Thats just the way it is.

Most successful franchises don't start wholesale firings after one down year. Especially when the year is marred by major injuries to key players and strained by a ton of negative "luck" like bad calls, etc.

Frankly, I expect things to change for the better in 2022, without a complete coaching change and without dumping all of our key players.

Now be fair, the Seahawks could have zero wins and you'd still be in the keep Carroll camp.

Thats not true.

There are very specific reasons why I still have faith in Pete Carroll. When I feel it becomes time for Pete to exit, I'm not going to be shy about it...I just don't think that time is now.

I think People don't have any tolerance for anything but winning all the time. To me that's not realistic. Most franchises that have been losing for years fail to find a good coach and stick with him.

When Carroll stops motivating this team,

stops growing or innovating as a coach

Thats when he needs to be fired.

IMO that's not happening now.

But talking to some people on this board that stop happening when we were the 12 and 4 champions of the NFC West.

I fear that there will be no coaching changes coming up.

I just want Pete gone. Then let a new HC decide what to do with the coordinators.

No.

I've said dozens of times now that I don't think Jody Allen has the stomach to fire Pete and go through the process of hiring and trusting a new GM and HC, not after how well she knows John and Pete.

Although she did fire Stotts down in Portland after he was there almost a decade, so maybe she'll surprise us.

But if I had to bet? No, I don't think we'll see any major changes.

No. We are basically at the tail end of the Holmgren years in Seattle with PC and JS. Another down year and then yes there will be changes. But I also seriously doubt JA will make the move this off-season. She absolutely should IMO, but that's just me.

It should be a very interesting off-season though!

My guy, Pitt.

No, I personally feel like nothings going to change until Russ contract is up.

For all we know Russ planned this being unhappy idea because he can then use it (somehow) as leverage for Seattle to pay him a helluva lotta money in his next contract.

He might just be playing all of us.

Carroll will only leave when Wilson does, IMO.

Hell, he’s openly admit it he’s largely here (still here) because of Russ miracle plays.

The two go hand in hand.

As much as they may not like each other at times, I feel both, equally need each other.

I don’t believe Wilson’s talents and skills allow him to operate and succeed as a traditional pocket passer throwing timely passes, short throws over the middle, etc. but Wilson cannot succeed in any other offensive system but Carroll’s set up by the run play action and scramble (as much as he can now) offense.

Both equally cannot change and adapt because their philosophy and skill set doesn’t allow them to do so.

So, will have to just take what they can give us for another year or two more and hopefully Seattle makes the smart decision and does not extend Wilson to some gigantic contract that kills the team for another 6 years or so.

The next two off seasons will depend largely on what Jody Allen is advised on.

Hopefully, she has some advisors that also see this as well and would like to move on from Carroll and Wilson.

Two things:

1. You keep Carroll; nothing changes not defensively and not offensively
2. You keep Wilson; he will become the highest paid QB again

Is it worth it to keep one or both of these guys for the foreseeable future?

That will be up to Jody Allen.

We’ll see.

If you think this is the only "down year" you haven't been paying attention. This is a franchise that has been on a steady slide since the Super Bowl loss.

It still amazes me how many fans actually see this as “one down year.”

No.

This year is a culmination of years of bad front office management.

This year (as well as previous years were also disappointing) will continue onto next year if major changes aren’t made.

It will only get worse.

The only personal id be comfortable with being our next coach is Jim Harbaugh. Everything else is too much of a wild card.

So no, I don't think anything will change

Really? Harbaugh?

Personality aside, he's probably the most like Pete coach you could hire as far as philosophies. Run the ball, protect the ball, win with defense.

So I doubt Allen would fire Pete just to hire someone who has very similar philosophies.

I can tell you think, you're not talking Russell into staying another 4-5 years if you hire Harbaugh. In fact, that'd probably seal the deal in Russell's mind that he needs to get the hell out.

I don't expect any major changes except Wilson if they let him. The only other change I could see is the firing of KNJ as the token fall on the sword guy.

I don't see PC leaving. That is unfortunate. But I also don't think we are making the playoffs next year because of our lack of talent so my disappointment if PC stays is mildly lessened.
