Quote from the article:

"Grubb is the engineer of the scheme. There have been growing pains, with long stretches of fruitless possessions at times, but no first-time NFL coach will be perfect in their first season.

The attention to detail post-bye, as Metcalf mentioned, has also been critical. That’s setting the culture of the offense.

“We’ve been meeting after practice together, so the communication is more open, so we get to make more adjustments on the fly because I hear what Geno [Smith] is thinking inside the meeting with Grubb right here coaching him,” Metcalf said. “We could just ask more questions on my routes or in the run game with the offensive line sitting in here as well, the running backs know how to hit the hole a specific way or Geno [Smith] knows how to hand the ball off a specific way. So just the communication aspect has been different.”"

I also hear that they are doing what they call "exit interviews" after each game. Debriefings are a more familiar term for many of us.

All good to hear as we follow along one week at a time toward the exciting conclusion of the 2024 season.

Love it, but any sort of professional level of play would have sufficed, haha. Offense has been @$$ the majority of the season. Stoked to see real progress though, much like the defense showed early on. Things are starting to click (better late than never) and you just love to see it.

Can't be a pro when you never been one b4 so the attention to details is really good news as i see nothing bad ever comes from getting to know your game and the game of those around you better

This is great information, teaching and receiving feedback real time to fix and adjust issues, I never expected our offense to light things up out of the gate once teams seen what we do and adjusted.

Yeah, DK didn't say anything wrong here. He also has zero knowledge of hiring and firings. I have zero issues with this. In fact I like to hear it.
Unfortunately now we have to start this process (learning new offense) all over again.

No doubt. The DK character some have created w/zero proof of said claims about him is just plain odd.

No one has claimed he was a locker room problem. No one.
Many can see he can be easily baited into stupid penalties that cost the team and that they need to stop.
Along with the fumbles and other penalties which he leads the league in at his position.
DK does have things to work on and it seems he has tried to do so this year.
I credit Mcdonald with holding his guys accountable and I think Pete failed pretty badly in that area.

It's just an observation. He drives me crazy sometimes too.
He basically had ONE personal foul/really stupid blowup the entire season. When that happened, it immediately became some blown out of proportion thing like he's been doing it all year. It comes with the territory with WR's. They're a different breed for sure.

The reaction is because of his history. But your right he did seem to turn the corner a bit this year until that penalty.

He has matured. Now he just needs to stop mentally checking out of games. But i have a feeling he will be doing that for someone else next year.
