No word on what, but apparently Pete made it sound like it was a few week thing. His press conference kept cutting out.

I’m guessing it’s a quick cleanup of something. Hate him missing practice and preseason though.

Probably. They can do a lot these days through just a small hole in the skin. Still takes a coupla weeks to heal, though.

Sucks him missing critical practice and game time.

I read an article last night that part of the reason he dropped in the draft was because of him being injury prone. Is this actually the case?

He missed the latter half of his 2018 college year due to a neck injury

DK missed most of the 2018 season after a serious neck injury, and he got his redshirt sophomore year waived due to a medical issue with his foot.

So yeah, not the best track record for him staying healthy. But this doesn't sound serious.

Are you speculating that he might be Procise II?

If he is half as bad as Procise that would be a disaster with Baldwin gone. But no, I doubt anyone is anywhere near that injury prone personally.

He hasn't technically missed any time in the NFL. Unless he misses the opener, I'm not gonna' worry about it.

Doesn’t sound too serious, but I would be shocked if he were ready for the opener. During his press conference, Pete kept calling it a “procedure.” Only when pressed did he confirm its surgery. When asked if DK would be ready for the opener, Sugar Coat Pete said something like “that’s the hope.”

So you’re saying there’s a chance, Pete??

Well, they are gonna' beat the Bengals with or without him. So, IF he misses the opener, they'll need him big time for the Steelers game

A rookie receiver will never be the difference between a win and a loss in week 2. Quote me on that.

Dudes going to get 1 or 2 plays a game to run deep and hopefully draw a flag. At least until he proves trustworthy and has grasped the playbook.

1.9% body fat? No one has talked about it except when I mentioned that he had an overdeveloped muscularity. That's a recipe for injury and illness. The only athletes that get down that low are body builders who get right back up after their competitions.

Of course I have no way of knowing what role if any plays into this injury but anyone with that low of body fat is wound too tight.

There is a lot of upside to this kid with his work ethic, willingness to learn etc. but I hope they are getting him a dietitian and sport's physiologist to get him on track to remain healthy.

Let's not forget about the fact that even if DK was 100% for the first few games, we would probably only see him for 5-10 snaps a game if that.

I never wish for anyone to get hurt of course, but I think this may be actually good for tempering some of the crazy expectations that are out there for him.

Sounds like a loose body cleanup to me. If that is the case the pain from the scope with be easier to recover from than the pain he was playing with.
