Trufant knocked Ryan down on the Wagner INT. That's basically the biggest one.

Ryan got knocked down on his TD pass to Gonzalez also. He had a guy right in his face as he made that throw.

The loss of Clemons answers this. Our pass rush was hurt tremendously with his absence.

Irvin needs to build some muscle mass and get some more experience, but throwing him under the bus isn't the answer. Dude had 7 sacks as a rookie, which is very good.

Interior pass rush could use improvement. I thought Jaye Hayward would've been the answer but he's a bit raw. I could see us drafting a pass rushing DT in the draft if there's a good one available.

It's not like we just lost Clemons either. We also lost Jason Jones, who's presence on the inside helped to free up our outside rushers. Jones was only here under a one year contract, so that position most definitely needs to be addressed this offseason.

With that said, we still were able to get pressure with blitzes through the game, but people need to take note that pass blocking is the strength of that offensive line. If you want to ask a question about our defense, the question I'd ask is where was our run defense in the first 3 quarters of the game? It was nearly non existent. I believe this was our weak link in the defense (last drive not withstanding).

Yesterday showed next year's biggest team need, Defensive Line, Defensive Line, Defensive Line.

No interior or edge pressure ALL day......and frankly we haven't had much interior pressure all year. 1st pick in the draft (or #1 free agent priority) should be a bad ass interior DT to help Mebane.

We won't be drafting very high this year and the chances of getting a DT/DE in our slot is slim to none.

How can you say that after what Pete and John have done with draft picks? They built an entire defense with only ONE 1st round pick.
