I predict around game 5 he'll get a half a sack and I'll say to myself oh yeah I forgot we signed Demarcus Lawrence.
Then he'll miss the next three games with an oblique strain.

I think you confused him with the person watching the game (you)

Do you, "beast" but what an absolutely miserable way to go about how you look at football. Just assume injuries and/or bad play.

Congrats.

I bet Tank plays 3 more years in the NFL at a very high level. He is just that talented of a player. His step or two lost mode is still elite compared to a lot of others.

What makes you say that about an oblique strain? Guy has been incredibly durable. Played every game in 6 of the last 8 years and had a foot injury in 2021 that caused him to miss games and then another foot injury in 2024. The foot injury thing is more concerning than the implication that he is injury prone.

I don't have any specific, evidence-based concerns about his obliques. I meant to make a lighthearted remark that he's old for D line and old guys tweak stuff. I didn't mean for it to be so triggering.
I agree with you though - the foot injury he had (Lisfranc) is a particularly challenging injury and is a concern.

It sounded like he would have been available to play if they Cowboys had made the playoffs last year. It didn't require surgery because there was no bone displacement. Seems like it was on the minor end of the spectrum.

I'm not the type of person that would say "I told you so". If I were, I'd only apply it if what was being questioned turned out to be a positive. At least as it applies to our Hawks.
Now, if one of you were to question, if you should stick your finger in a power socket, I would advise against it. If you did, I'd then answer with a "I told you so". Why?, because I have SOLID evidence why you shouldn't have.
Always hopeful

Welcome Mr Lawrence!
