It’s a fair question. Obviously the Seahawks knew Nwosu needed to have his knee cleaned up, so it would make sense that they have a solid Plan B.

Based on contracts I would imagine one or the other will be gone next year. It’s just a matter if we have enough quality behind them to man the position.

I'm also wondering outside of Lawrence and Nwousu , what do they think they have in Mafe and Hall ? Young guys in their 2nd season under Iron Mike's system . Do you or anyone else see one of these two making the kind of leap where we aren't too concerned with the vets?

I certainly think Hall and Mafe are the heirs apparent. Hall had 8 sacks last year and Mafe had 9, then 6 the last two years. Mafe and Lawrence will most likely be our day one starters with Nwousu recovering, but after the four mentioned here things get murky.

They have Sheriff and Tyreke Smith too, but this year I wouldn't hope for more than serviceable depth from them. Most likely one or both will be relegated to the practice squad.
