Caleb this week. My only concern with Sam is when playoff pressure comes into play. Hoping he can overcome mental errors of the past. Big fan.
Well considering that last season was his FIRST EVER Playoff pressure because...you know....it was his first ever playoff game (yet some are acting like he's 0-11 instead of just 0-1), I think he will overcome those errors because he's not stupid.

He learns.

Josh Allen, Drake May, Matt Stafford all in the mix.

Rams games should settle the Stafford question.

It should become clearer soon.

Seahawks are enjoying the fruits of a QB who can actually read a defense and use that knowledge within the play to drive a positive outcome. Darnold doesn't lock in on one receiver. Even Cody White got in the action in yesterday's game. JSN still put up monster stats without a single td. A smart QB lifts the whole team. That is what I'm seeing.

The Seahawks are from So. Alaska as far as the voters are concerned, him even making the Pro Bowl is likely a stretch. I do agree that he’s starting to prove his relevance in the MVP convo. I don’t think it’d ever happen unless the team went all the way.

On ESPN last night, they were making a big deal about JJ McCarthy having redeemed himself by beating the Lions yesterday. Here's a comparison of how JJ did versus Sam Darnold:

Darnold: 21/24 87.5% 330 yards
McCarthy: 14/25 56.0% 143 yards

But Kevin O'Connell, keep thinking you made the right decision, man, if it makes you feel better.

He's definitely playing at an MVP level, and I have zero complaints about his play or the decision to bring him in. He's a big upgrade from Geno. But we aren't even halfway through the regular season, not to mention post season where Darnold has struggled. To say that he's an MVP candidate at this point is a bit much. But I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm back on the bandwagon for sure!

Fair enough, but he has played in ONE playoff game. Kind of a stretch to peg him as a guy who isn't clutch.
Agree.

Could Sam have played better in the last two (important) games last year? Sure.

That said, go back and watch the pressure Campbell and Mcvay had dialed up. The O line consistently faltered and Darnold was always under duress.

Although he has proven to be more agile than I had thought this year, he’s not Lamar or Patrick. There are not a lot of pocket passers who would have escaped those environments with W’s.

Dude won 14 games in a league with unparalleled parity. Every game is hard. To walk a 14 game winner for someone without an NFL start is mind blowing. QB is not a plug n play position.

Vikings loss is our gain though. We not only got a top 5 QB for below market value , we got a third round pick to boot via Vegas.

I'm thinking that since he's adjusted to his new team better than most people thought he would, I'm thinking we'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he'll be great come playoffs...IMHO of course. He's got a great surround cast, excellent coaches and the defense alone should remove any jitters.

Exactly. No one brings up his O line absolutely failed him in those 2 final games. No it was all Darnold's fault.
