Random question but what is the criteria for getting a ring in the squad for the fringe/ready squad guys?

Diggs and Griffin are in the squad and will get a ring but didn't do much recently. Griffin at least played a bit of a couple of games.

Myles Gaskin was in the squad but got cut, he did contribute for at least 1 TD this year. Does he get one?

Same goes for the safety that got claimed off waivers by Tennessee mid season.

How did they do it in 2013?

How about Kendricks who had a few INT's then got cut and picked up by the Rams? LOL. He may get one? As a Ram? Ewwww. Though he did also play a huge role in giving up Shaheed's punt return in the Thursday night game so maybe he still does deserve one?

I did wonder that. He did still contribute with a couple of ints...but is also a Ram now.

Probably more deserving still than Diggs though.

I think it would only be players who were on the roster or practice squad at the end of the year

The team can easily afford it, so I doubt they're stingy with the rings.

Besides, from the first day, I'm sure all the players get the whole "we're one team, one family, blah blah blah" spiel. It would seem a bit hypocritical to start the slippery slope of deciding whose contributions were "worthy". Nobody wants the bad PR that comes with that.

Completely at the owner’s discretion, outside of the post-season active and practice squad players, who are mandated to receive them by the CBA.

Say Lockett, or Lynch signed for a couple of games, they would likely get a ring, even if they never saw the field.

If you had a player who was a malcontent, got arrested part way through the season, and spent half the season on the exempt list, it’s not unlikely that the team would decline to give him a ring. (Unless he was active or practice squad during the post-season)
