I’m not sure if this is good or bad. Bad for the person obviously. But, damn…I was kind of hoping the Rams wouldn’t have some type of ‘out’. Of course they’re going to re-sign him but…did he just screw himself out of a substantial amount while benefiting the Rams (much lower contract?!),

Doubtful…lots of teams would pay him but after we got the jump on things and hooked JSN up, I thought the Rams were screwed $$$ wise.

2) The “Rehab” isn’t going to do shit for Puka it’s there so his lawyer has “a leg to stand on” to get leniency from the judge/courts by saying shit like “look your honor my client has taken the mature and accountable route and checked himself into rehab. That shows blah blah whatever bs smoke the lawyer will spin.
Quick summary the rehab is just to get leniency and make his lawyers job easier aside from being a star.

I agree with your assessment, but doesn't that also show guilt. Instead of "that never happened, it's just a money grab", you got "yea, my client did it because he was a drunk idiot but he is seeking help; please forgive him".

You may know what you're talking about but I would believe this statement far more had it come from Count Hawkula. Pretty sure he's the expert in this area

The word on the rams forum is that he is at one of the Malibu luxury facilities where he will spend his days "......banging all the hot massage staff chicks and drinking fruit smoothies by the pool...".

Apparently they don't feel he is legitimately working on whatever issues he is facing.

I suspect he'll still get the big payday, but there will be behavior clauses that give the lambs a way to cut him loose. It could also affect the structure a bit - you don't want to give him a ton of money upfront in a signing bonus in that case, you want a roster bonus each year to protect the team.
