No more so than any player in a loud stadium. In fact, it probably helps him in those situations. ;)

They can hand signal, it has worked for a very very long time, besides audibles usually are a run or pass change that depending on which one they prepare just a few hot plays for everygame.

Say fist is run, fist and 2 fingers is whatever the play is for that week.

he said in an interview before that his lip reading is great, and he can easily "hear" the coaches from the sideline even in noisy environments as a result

Obviously the FO thinks it won't be an issue given he made the 53. As others have said hand signals work just fine if there's a problem.

I was kind of thinking the same as th OP about this, but you are correct.
