We're becoming experts at explaining away sub-par performances.

Heat, now officiating.

We're also getting quite good at exposing the naivety and inexperience of our fanbase by grumbling over double digit road wins.

no, good points - we won a game tonight by two scores because we are a bad football team. You're right, everyone else is wrong. The only explanation is that the Seahawks are just not a good football team.
I've seen the light, part deux!

It's a revelation!!

It is the reverse for me: the NFL has ruined college football for me.

In the NFL, any team can win on any week, and a large percentage of games have single-digit differentials at the end of the game.

In college, most matchups are bad, good teams avoid other good teams in non-conference games, and way too many games are blowouts. It took until week six before college football finally got a decent slate of games.

There's a point there, but then I look at the number of perennial easy wins some teams like the Colts and Patriots have had within their respective divisions for a decade and longer virtually every single year and have to wonder. :)

Step off the ledge friend and try to enjoy the win.

yeah i can't get into college much for that reason. add on top of this the fact that if your team doesn't look good to start the season, they can't really do a whole lot to change their fortunes. as soon as they lose a game they are pretty much playing for a consolation prize with a faint glimmer of hope that your schedule is difficult enough that if you manage to win the rest of your games, your opponents are considered quality enough to keep you in the mix. Lose 2 games and that hope is gone. Lose any m ore than that and you're just playing to be in some meaningless bowl game that is only exciting to be in if your team has sucked for so long that the 'kraft fight hunger bowl' is actually an improvement even though the bowl you're playing in didn't even exist a year or two ago and now only exists to make more money off the players.

college kinda blows. Only way it's enjoyable is to just not follow a particular team and instead root for the occassional good game.

Our win over Green Bay a few weeks ago was pretty easy.

We had several easy wins over good/bad/elite teams last year too.

A sloppy win does not excuse a sloppy win. I was at the game, it was difficult at times you know having 3 Percy Harvin TD's called back. The O line is inconsistant, Russell is really good etc.

The Colts and Pats have played in trash divisions for well over a decade. The Jets and Titans were okay for a couple of years here and there, but that's about it.

A win is a win, sure, but even seasoned fans have to think we should have had that game put away easily by halftime. We missed a ton of opportunities, shot ourselves in the foot too many times, and had the refs account for at least a couple of scores on phantom or blown calls.

Saying this game should have been a blowout is not overreacting and thinking like a college or fantasy football fan. Of course, what do I know? I've only been watching since 1976.

Agree, Tjack should have been able to play the 4th in this Game.

This post makes no sense. College football isn't new. College fans didn't just suddenly discover the NFL and become unable to comprehend how it works.
