I predict Christine Michael will get his first NFL regular season game debut against the Bucs this Sunday.

1. Seattle wants to renew their commitment to the run game, especially since we are missing some WRs and the pass pro is piss.
2. Although Lynch is reported to play this weekend, he has a nicked up knee and has been taking a few days off.
3. Turbin isn't bad but he lacks the explosion that we need to help this offense get right.
4. This is the first time I remember seeing pics of Michael getting photographed getting snaps during regular season practice.

5. The Bucaneers are an Oh-fer team and may be a good way to introduce the rookie to the NFL....that said, I'm wary to overlook ANY team after that Rams outing.
6. I want to see him play darn it :|

He already debuted vs Jacksonville.

OK, then I want to see him get a significant share of the snaps and not during garbage time.

Lynch always has a sore body part, then he rushes for 104.
It's just how he works. Like Big Walt, he just plays.

I predict he will not get a significant amount of plays, if any.

Until he learns pass blocking he isn't seeing the field. Especially given our issues with the OL. It's just the typical learning curve though.

Precisely true. When has Lynch not had "back problems" or "soreness?" He'll skip some practices and then light up the scoreboard on gameday before his "soreness" returns.

I would love to see what Michael can do in a real game situation, but I agree with KChawkgirl. He must not be ready. I think he'll be worth the wait with his skillset, but I'm sure the coaches still see him as somebody who needs more time to learn.

Our OL hasn't learned to pass block, yet they see the field. Why, the double standard? :D

I thought Chris would get some playing time against STL. I was wrong.

I hope he gets some time in the 4th this week after Shawn runs for 200 yds.

Alexander was a great back but he retired a long time ago...seriously, I know this is off topic, but I can never understand why Hawk fans hate on ALexander so much.

Regarding the current day Shawn, he is going to be good to go. My best friend was our running back in high school, he was always "hurt" during the week as well. Surprisingly, on game day he was 100%. He was a stud, but a lazy stud. I feel Lynch probably has some of the same qualities. Would rather not practice too much so he comes up with an excuse.

Da what? Marshawn doesn't need to make excuses. Carroll has rested him during mid-week practices for multiple seasons now.

I see what you're saying, obviously. HOWEVER.... we should be running on 1st... 2nd... and probably even 3rd down ATM with these OTs (and lack of common sense pass playcalling) .... which in case negates that point you made. IF you want a better option for 3rd down pass situations then put Turbo in for blocking/receiving purposes.

Too bad Bevel doesn't understand this concept, though. Michael is a beast on his own right, and the most explosive weapon we have on offense until Harvin gets right. He needs to get involved vs these bad teams coming up, also in part because Marshawn needs to be fresh for the playoffs.

I wonder why the coaches don't know as much as you do about football?

Do you actually have anything substantive to add? And so I guess you totally approve of Bevell's playcalling these last few weeks? Wow. If he could scheme pass protection and quick passing properly there wouldn't be any worry to begin with.

Absurd. Now go away.

Oh I'm afraid I will not be going away anytime soon.

Anyhoo, tell me more about what you know that Bevell and the other coaches don't. I find it quite educational and substantive.
