Until he learns pass blocking he isn't seeing the field. Especially given our issues with the OL. It's just the typical learning curve though.

I see what you're saying, obviously. HOWEVER.... we should be running on 1st... 2nd... and probably even 3rd down ATM with these OTs (and lack of common sense pass playcalling) .... which in case negates that point you made. IF you want a better option for 3rd down pass situations then put Turbo in for blocking/receiving purposes.

Too bad Bevel doesn't understand this concept, though. Michael is a beast on his own right, and the most explosive weapon we have on offense until Harvin gets right. He needs to get involved vs these bad teams coming up, also in part because Marshawn needs to be fresh for the playoffs.

I wonder why the coaches don't know as much as you do about football?
Do you actually have anything substantive to add? And so I guess you totally approve of Bevell's playcalling these last few weeks? Wow. If he could scheme pass protection and quick passing properly there wouldn't be any worry to begin with.

Absurd. Now go away.

Take it for what it is and it's what I saw too, and I'm not saying he's great or there weren't any questionable calls, because there were, but a lot more of the fault is on execution(due to lack of talent and some individual mistakes) than the actual play calling. I do question why there is a lack of help when the OT's are clearly struggling, and that leads me to think the game plan didn't account for that much pass rush (which you may call poor game planning) and how was the adjustment to help so poor because PC did say they tried everything and failed.

We should run the ball more, every down we should run.. we need to feed the beast... pretty tough against 8 man fronts.. you ever think that maybe we were trying to throw to open up the run game.. it does sometimes work that way.. Can't blame Bevell when guys drop quick slants on 1st down that would put us in 2nd and short.. Can't blame Bevell when we do feed the beast and Sweezy gets a holding penalty.. A rational person can assign blame to a number of players/coaches on Monday Night not just the OC

Of the problems our offense has, Christine Michael is the answer to none of them.

If they are way ahead, a blowout and the line is playing atleast just ok... 4th quarter I'd hope to see him get a chance burn through the field.

I'm just speculating, but I have to think CMike just doesn't "get it" yet. We know our coaches are not afraid to put rookies on the field, so to not even see him in any ST capacity would suggest that he's either injured (no reports to that effect), or is not on the same page as his teammates and/or coaches.

This team is loaded. Not all rookies are going to play roles.

I thought Chris would get some playing time against STL. I was wrong.

I hope he gets some time in the 4th this week after Shawn runs for 200 yds.

Alexander was a great back but he retired a long time ago...seriously, I know this is off topic, but I can never understand why Hawk fans hate on ALexander so much.

Regarding the current day Shawn, he is going to be good to go. My best friend was our running back in high school, he was always "hurt" during the week as well. Surprisingly, on game day he was 100%. He was a stud, but a lazy stud. I feel Lynch probably has some of the same qualities. Would rather not practice too much so he comes up with an excuse.

Did i ready that correctly? You think Lynch is a lazy stud and would rather not practice based on your experience in highschool? His back problems are well documented and Pete has consistently said the team was holding him out of practices to keep him fresh. You really think it's Lynch not feeling like practicing? Many veterans all over the league are the same way. It's a science and art to keep players healthy enough to play the game. I'm sorry, but questioning Lynch's work ethic is flat our incorrect.

I have been very patient. I'm starting to get anxious for Michael. This is very possibly the worst draft in Seahawks history if this kid isn't good. I don't understand why a rookie RB can't play. He is a running back. You hand him the ball, he runs. Not that damn difficult. We're not even going to kick the tires? Is he just god-awful in practice?

We need Michael to get some in game experience.

I understand the issue with needing him to better understand the protection and maybe some concern about the fumbling (though everyone else seems to be fumbling save for the last game anyway) issues in college but he needs to have game time.

The last thing we need is for one of our backs to go down and we are forced to run a back with NO experience in a key playoff game. And having a potential solid back we can rotate in might help at least give us one more option when one of the others is not working.

Not saying the Bucs will be easy, taking teams lightly is probably not a good idea even at home. But the Seahawks need to have as much depth and experience as they can muster if they are truly planning for best case/worst case like they should.

We never use running backs or TE's to pass protect anymore anyways..... the coaching staff shouldn't ding CMike on that.

I LOVE Michael, and he was the player that I wanted the Hawks to draft. I'd love to see him get some touches, because I think outside of Harvin he is the most explosive weapon on the team.

That being said however, just 4 picks after we took Michael, the Lions took OG Larry Warford, who looks like the next great guard in the NFL. God Damn do I wish the Hawks had picked him instead. It would be so valuable to be able to send Warford out there every week at this point than to see Michael standing on the sidelines all game long.

Also a huge Christine Michael fan. Would really love to see him out there. He was good in that Jags game - ran 9 times for 37 yards, 4.1 YPC. He had some good runs, as in the preseason. I think he'd take people by surprise.

the OLINE isn't the problem.. stop basing everything on one game.
its jsut the easiest one to blame becuase its the path of least resistance.

We all know what the real problem here is.

I'd like to see the kid. However with lynch getting 8 carries it hard to justify.

He doesn't play because we have Marshawn Lynch. Why assume that a 2nd rd rookie must play his rookie season when the team's depth is established?

He will play when they put him in. It won't be "just because we are up by 40pts" or "because his mom callled and told Carroll to put him in" --- but, he will play when they put him in the game.

And he will shine!!!

Sorry Missing_Clink, but you cannot be right, we've been told that there was no OL help in the draft, and that therefore there was no choice but for the FO to ignore the substandard (abysmal?) talent that protects our franchise QB. Also, we all know that Sweezy is the next great guard in the NFL.

We also have Turbin, who's decent in his own right, putting CMike at the bottom of the depth chart. Lynch is the whole package, speed, vision, elusiveness. Turbin can do everything that CMike can do although, from the tape, I see CMike being a little more explosive but less refined. Haven't seen outstanding vision from either but Turbin can pass pro so he gets the nod. Honestly, I'd like to see more 2 back sets with Rice gone. Get these guys in space and let 'em ball.
