Where is Henry
My favorite running back, but he's getting up there, and he'll be expensive. Also, he's a downhill runner, like Charbonnet. We need a creative guy like Walker, but I think we lose Walker and keep a slightly disgruntled JSN. We draft 2-3 receivers in the lower rounds and hit on one. JS has always done well - no concerns here.

My favorite too. Dude is a grown man. It's shocking that a dude that big can be that fast.

Bo, George Rodgers, Earl Campbell, Hershel Walker, Eric Dickerson, to name a few all had speed and were big men.

I don't remember much about Rodgers, but the others had very distinctive styles that were nothing like Henry's in my opinion. I just looked up Earl Campbell and was surprised to see that he only weighed 232 pounds. I would have sworn he was bigger than Henry.

Jamal Lewis is the gold standard of big boy running backs.

Jim Brown was a big dude that could move. Going way back, jim Thorpe was a man amongst boys...but would be considered average size by today's standards.

There's no question about where the market is for these top-flite receivers. But how many of these teams are in SB contention outside of maybe the Eagles?

This is where the question arises if it's worth us paying that much.

Also, the list is somewhat misleading, as the players are not always making that much; that's the average of their contract, not guaranteed $$$ every year.;

Best to get JSN done now, price is only going to go up. Will seem cheap in a few years.

Walker depends on the price. There's other FA RB's out there we can get for cheaper if needed.

Guessing Woolen and Bryant are gone.

Good riddance to Woolen.

It will be tough to lose Bryant, though, but we can't keep everyone.

The great GMs are able to walk that fine line of keeping the right players and not overpaying. Retaining key veterans while keeping the roster young. Signing high value (not high priced) free agents and continuing to hit on the draft. It's a tall order.

Being a GM is tough.

I'm not sure how great a job JS did on it during the last super bowl window and just after the window. He had to pick between Tate and Baldwin because he paid Harvin. Maxwell leaving was the right decision, Malcolm smith was no big deal.

Big issue was that he took swings on Cary Williams who was terrible, Harvin didnt work out long term and while Jimmy Graham was fine we didn't ever replace Max Unger and weakened ourselves in the trenches.

On top of that our drafting was largely terrible for years after barring Tyler Lockett, Jarran Reed, Chris Carson, Shaq Griffin, Dickson and DK from 2015 to 2021. Thats 6 draft classes. There was some okay players within and guys that maybe flashed for a season but thats pretty bad. Compared that from 2022 to now and there's been a ton of star players. Every 1st and 2nd round pick has had a huge impact (and mid-lower rounds have hit too).

Hopefully he has learned from the past, its going to be tough picking 32 with not a lot of draft capital.

Just playing devils advocate here. Paying him now, with two years still under contract will set a bad precidence for the future of the team. I'm not a fan of JSN handling this via the media. IMO this is something you present, and try to handle inside the building 1st.
Yes, his stats exploded this / last year, yes, it will cost more to wait but,,, you've also got Spoon in the same boat right now as well as many other important team members like Walker, Sheheed, Jobe, Bryant Mafe and more.
Spend alot on one or the same amount on many? Tough decisions to be made.
Glad I'm not the GM, but thats why they get paid the big bucks.

He said he wants to be the highest paid. Guys have been doing this for decades.
It doesn't mean they won't wait until after the 2026 season. JS isn't someone who lets players push him around.

Orlando, FL...for good.
I want at least 60% of all our big contracts to be to guys on both lines. It's the single best path to building a dynasty, IMO. Certainly can't count on having Tom Brady and also having him purposely accept much less pay than he commands to free up money elsewhere, lol.

Henry's got a fumbling problem right now.
