The only concern I still have is the lack of a big DT to play 3-tech on running downs. I think the passing down 3-tech rotation will be Bennett and Scruggs (and I'm sure Jaye Howard will factor in somewhere). Sounds like the draft has a lot of options for big bodies, and I'm feeling pretty confident Alan Branch and Clint McDonald come back strong though too so I'm not all that worried.

RG is a bit of a worry too, but Moffitt and Sweezy are both talented kids. Hopefully one of them will start to pull ahead as the better option this year (and early). Will LB could use an upgrade over ol' LeRoy, but I'd be comfortable totally starting Malcolm Smith if that upgrade doesn't materialize.. Though if Avril is as much of a creampuff against the run as some folks would like us to think he is, then I wouldn't mind seeing a Will who can play tough against the run to provide support. Somebody like KJ (but I'd hate to move KJ away from what he's already doing so well).

Other than that and maybe getting a kicker locked up (Haush would be fine)... I'm feeling pretty darn good about this team right now.

Please burst my bubble so I can sleep tonight.

We have to wait another 5 months before we get to watch this team take the field.

Lets not get too high.

I agree this off season has been pretty exciting, but that being said, it seems like paper favorites never actually pan out and win the big one.

It's an exciting time but the NFL is hard. One game at a time.

This year, we're going to get every teams' best efforts. It's the next evolution in becoming a champion. Meeting expectations. San Francisco had them and met them. We didn't have any and now have to take that next evolution.

Very true...and the national media will be painting a "big red bull's-eye" on the Hawks throughout the year!
