It would be funny if the NFL placed Tommy Boy on the "exempt list", barring him from all team activities until his court case is over. I think Tommy might drop his case if they did this.

Considering the NFL claims Tom Brady hastily moved to have evidence (his phone) destroyed, doesn't that say everything we need to know about the cheating bastards?

Glad to see it was upheld. I felt that the circumstances warranted at least 8 games, so IMO he got off easy with this 4 game suspension.

hahaha. The NFL says that part of the reason for upholding the suspension was new information that came from Brady and his lawyers themselves.

This is too funny. I wonder if you can be barred from the Hall of Fame by being an accused and punished CHEATER.

If it is infact true that he routinely destroys his phone, I think it leads to more specualtion that he has been cheating for a long time...

"The most significant new information that emerged in connection with the appeal was evidence that on or about March 6, 2015 -- the very day that was interviewed by Mr. Wells and his investigated team -- Mr. Brady instructed his assistant to destroy the cellphone that he had been using since early 2014, a period that included that AFC Championship game and the initial weeks of the subsequent information," Goodell wrote in the final decision on the appeal.

The day he was interviewed by the Wells team? What a weasel. And he had his assistant do it, to. I guess that means the assistant can be called to testify as to what Brady told him to do and why.

Does Russ have an assistant?

“The commissioner found that Brady’s deliberate destruction of potentially relevant evidence went beyond a mere failure to cooperate in the investigation and supported a finding that he had sought to hide evidence of his own participation in the underlying scheme to alter the footballs.”

Maybe I've been watching too much TV or reading too many mystery books, but isn't it true that all Brady's calls and texts, and even the text content, can be retrieved from the carrier? (Subject to a warrant, of course.)

Patriots fans believe the date the phone was accidentally destroyed was just bad luck and coincidenCe. When do several crazy coincidences become what they appear to be between the text messages. The fact the balls were deflated. The lying. Destruction of phone. Taking the balls in the bathroom and the list goes on.

@MikeGarafolo Per Goodell's ruling, Tom Brady's previous cell phone (used til 11/6/14) was not destroyed. Only the one he used from then thru early March.

Oh, so by 'common practice' he only selectively destroys them. Got it.

I would assume that the NFL doesn't have the subpoena power to get the phone company to turn over records. The feds will, so it'll be interesting to see if Tommy backs down to avoid that.

I've never wanted to slap a Patriots fan more in my whole life than I do right now, for the excuses they are making for Brady.
