Yup, I just heard about this. This makes me sick to think the refs were allowed to do this.

The uncalled penalties were a big part of why the score was kept so close for so long. It's hard to make plays when guys are grabbing at your facemask you before you even have the ball.

The play with the uncalled facemask and horse collar tackle was honestly the most egregious no-call I have ever seen. Even from a perspective of game steering, this makes no sense because of the implications for player safety and someone getting seriously injured on national TV is a massive black eye for the NFL. Someone really wanted us to lose last Sunday.

The NFL also has the opportunity to levy fines for personal fouls even when they weren't called. I know Macdonald was bringing some of these plays up to the league (he was asked about the shaheed concussion play specifically and he said there were several plays they were going to the league for "clarification", as is standard practice). If there aren't fines, then the NFL is choosing to condone the plays.

I think we (and the team/coaching staff) has got to understand that the refs and likely betters are needing Seattle to lose. The Rams game absolutely was checked in by Vegas and a lot of people lost a lot of money on that game. The refs understand this and JSN getting abused by non calls is an absolute travesty. We need to understand this moving forward that Seattle is likely to get the short end of the stick and not get the correct calls it should. This will likely affect the outcome of the game. This next game against the Niners will absolutely showcase where the NFL and Vegas wants Seattle to be. Seattle’s coaching has got to be ready to coach against these badly officiated games especially Saturday with so much on the line against these Niners. I hope the coaches understand and the players know they will likely have to go against the grain this Saturday.

I saw a discussion among Niners fans on Reddit that suggested they're worried about the same thing, fixed officiating favoring us over them. Apparently the head zebra they've appointed to this game is known for steering games in ways that tend to favor Las Vegas more often than not.

I heard this as well.

My concern is currently, Seattle, is favored right now by 1.5 points or so? So, the money flowing is currently flowing into Seattle’s side, this means, Vegas would profit if the Niners win. Which means, if this ref, I think it is, Bill Vinovich, favors the Niners to win and make calls that goes against Seattle—ergo, Vegas capitalizes when Seattle gets penalized, it’s going to be tough to get calls if you are on Seattle’s side. I think Seattle will have a tougher time to get calls, especially, if Seattle is the favorite and giving 1.5 points or whatever it is now.

We as Seattle fans would want the Niners to be favorite, if Vinovich, calls games that favor Vegas odds.

I’m fully expecting Seattle to experience difficulties with calls this Saturday and whatever happens, I just hope their are no biases and the game is called straight down the line.

Seattle, can prevent all the bad calls against Seattle, with an effective blowout of the Niners.

We will see if that works, Baldwin and Largent had to both learn to counter it. JSN will as well, JSN is just establishing himself as a elite receiver, he is also amiable most the time with officials, the league and offcials will start giving him calls at some point because he has earned it.

I said it during the last game and I will say it again: Angry Smith Njigba is my favorite Smith Njigba! Seriously. He's seemingly one of the types of receivers that seems to develop the Mamba Mentality when DBs start getting chippy and mouthy. I say bring it on!

It didn't bother Steve or Doug either, made them better, everyone thought Steve would crumble with his nice guy personality, they didn't nor did the fans know how tough he really was, especially in his era pf play. Mike Harden knows however, he really knows. I think JSN will follow in these guys footsteps, not fall off the map like many guys do when they hit the wall of physicality a defense will start using on them. DK is one, he has all the physical size to match it, but not the mental capacity to handle it.

JSN definitely has the Mamba Mentality and I believe the more you try to beat him up the more he will get fired up to to beat you back. We got to spread the ball around early and use every weapon we have. No obsessively trying to force things. I think Sam plays better after he gets punched in the mouth too so let’s get physical physical physical!!!!

That panthers game was brutal for JSN. There was one huge hit on him that was absolutely BS so I tried to find clips of it, but it was not a huge play or anything, so I had to slow mo through the whole game to find it. Doing so I saw even more bad hits on him. The first one was a huge blast launching JSN into the sideline, then in the very beginning of the 2nd quarter I found the hit I was looking for. And this was not the missed face mask and crap from later in the game. It was a screen type pass and JSN was wrapped up around his legs and then hit in the face and ripped over backwards.

He was down on his knees, and they ripped him over backwards. That was a totally 1960's punk move. The Raiders were very good at this, taking the penalties because in the end the opponent was worn down and had a bench full of injured. Not many remember the pre-merger Raiders. I watched them, between the WR's making their cuts on the feet and ankles of DB's, to the head clubbing by DL's on the way to crush the QB's.
