This O line gives him no time to pass most downs and zero pocket to pass from. In addition the receivers get very little separation. You can point out he missed Jimmy and Baldwin deep but he again was having to create room for himself to throw because of the lack of a pocket because of the pass rush. Lastly even though they say he is healthy, Russ's legs are not the same as in the past. Not sure if this is due to injury or not.

IMO any QB behind this line and with these receivers would have a tough time.

He had plenty of time in this game to pass the ball. Looking at what happened in weeks past is not an accurate description of what happened TODAY. He just didn't have a good game and it's on him and the WR's straight up.

RW's play cannot be defended. He had time, the run game was there initially, he just missed to many throws in the first half and the D didn't hold up. This game was setup to be a shootout and RW crapped the bed. Maybe he just cant play in cold weather? I noticed he kept his hands in pockets as long as he could before the snap of the ball. He's doing that because he wants to get a good feel of a cold, stiff pigskin football. I was wondering why he wasn't wearing a glove. Look back to the disastrous performance against the Vikings in the play offs. RW cant play in the cold. And that sucks because it's going to be Green Bay cold this Thursday at home.

Most of the poor offensive performances come with a crappy OL performance.
Today was an exception. Adequate protection and running lanes, Wilson was just awful in the first half and in the 2nd half when his throws got near the receivers finally they couldn't make basic catches.
The OL will be the big problem in many games - this Thursday likely - but it wasn't today.
Which is why it's disturbing that Wilson was unable to operate. If he just hits layups in the first half it's a different game.

He played for Wisconsin and as far as the MN playoff game, your kidding right? -30 with wind chill. I'm surprised anyone even survived the game let alone played well.

Today he again had to create room and time for him to throw. Yes he did he have major problems but give him time, a pocket and receivers that get separation, and you'll see different results.

He gets 90% of the blame Missing those two sure tds changed the course of the game dramatically. He killed us all day. Drive killers and the qb rating doesn't lie. They put the D right back out there. Do we have defensive linemen? Anyway we all knew ET was gone and the O was gonna have to step it up. Is that what stepping it up is?

From what I saw 2 of the picks were on Russ and maybe even just 1. One off Baldwin, 1 Collins, 1 Kearse non PI call and 1 Jimmy falls down.

Bigskydoc debunked the Wisconsin trope earlier today.

Russ was horrible today, period. Accept it and move on.

Yep, got no excuses for him today, receivers didn't help any either. Moving on. Stafford hurt his throwing hand so 2nd seed is still very much in reach. But this Jekyll and Mr. Hyde crap needs to get figured out pronto...

Your point? In his career at Wisconsin, he never played a single game in sub-freezing weather.

In fact, the coldest game he played in was 43 degrees at kickoff.

At that point in the game, throwing that ball to no man's land to kearse was stupid. So that's #2 for sure. The only hope for that throw was a PI, which is not the ball you throw down multiple scores in or nearly in the red zone.

The Wisconsin thing was annoying even before BSD debunked it. My own eyes tell me that Wilson struggles in inclement weather.

Yup it's all on Wilson, he will take the blame anyways, weather is a huge kryptonite for Wilson for whatever reason. I think he should start wearing gloves.

17-33 151YDS, zero TDs, 2 INTs - 38.8 QB rating.

That was in Tampa 2 weeks ago where the temperature was over 75 degrees.

Now, in that game, Fant could block anyone and no one on the OLINE wanted to block McCoy.

However, this game is on RW. He was missing open receivers and forcing the ball. This goes against PC's mantra of protecting the ball.

I'm thinking RW's trying to make things happen. looking for the big play....

Actually Russ was pressured 23 times. Second most in his career. He was Terrible but it's silly to say it was all him. Fant was pathetic and as a hole they couldn't pass block against a bad Def line. Everyone was bad today.

Pretty much the whole team was terrible today...Rawls was the only semi bright spot. The optimist says it's good they all got their crappy game out of the way in one day.
