True, but he also put pen to paper on his deal, and was happy to sign it at the time. He needs to honour that contract that he willingly signed, and was happy to receive at the time. If not, then he shouldn't have signed it and held out for more.

He is honoring his contract. The CBA allows for him to complain about his contract, hold out with the penalty of fines, etc. Your point isn't relevant here.

Bennett is honoring his contract, and this is the NFL where the team can cut you even if you signed your contract.

So I have no problem when players ask for more if they have the leverage to do so. Because that means they're playing VERY well for us.

But as we saw with Kam, it has to be done the right way, and more importantly at the right time. That right time for Bennett is next year when he only has one year left on his deal. Players have very little leverage when they have 2+ years left.

You guys are right about him honouring his contract by playing well under it, but it's getting old listening to him bitch about it. We get it, your contract is under the value of some other players out there in the league, but you chose to sign for this, so shut up because it becomes a distraction.

He can point to other players that make more than him, but he has to also look at the team he plays on, and the chance that he has to win every year. Would he have the same production he has now on a lesser team who fights to make the playoffs every year? If not, then is he really worth the money that these other guys are making?

True, but the difference between last year and this year with Bennett I honestly don't think HE'S bringing it up like last year when he and his agent were actively complaining in the press.

This year it's reporters and media people asking him about his contract, and he's just answering questions.
