Seriously? We're going to ignore the disparity between the greatest O-line in Seahawks history to the poo poo platter we have in 2013?

The problems with the O-line don't really extend to the run game.

No one said this after the Rams game. Even if they're good in the run, they do not hold a candle to the 2005 line in that department. Jones and Hutchinson obliterated opposing lines. You could run on 3rd and 7 and have a reasonable shot at a first down.

When we're down by the goal line, Marshawn should never be out of the game, and if we do pass, it should at least be out of play action.

I'm sick of watching Bevell's TERRIBLE play calling. He almost cost us the game again. He did cost us the game against Indy.

Lynch starts getting on a roll and suddenly we're throwing it on every down. It's not working and hasn't worked all season. I'm sick of watching Wilson get killed out there. Sick of watching Lynch pound the hell out of a defense only to get pulled so Wilson can get sacked a couple times and throw an int while running for his life.

It doesn't take a genius to see that we have real problems with the offensive game plan. The same crap was happening in San Fran, but they went back to the run and have been lighting it up. We continue to give up 5+ sacks a game and its obviously taking a toll on Wilson. Keep it up and we'll be like the packers, who just watched their season go bye bye.

Further, Pete is full of crap when he said we couldn't run because of the 8 men in the box. Tampa bay was still blitzing and bringing 8 every down on our last few drives and Marshawn Lynch was picking up 5-6 yards every down, or more. The only reason we won is because we finally started running the ball, and Marshawn was punishing the defense, they started backing up a bit and trying to stop Lynch, and Wilson finally started getting enough time to throw.

Also, why are we running so many plays with only one rb in the backfield? Everyone knows we're going to throw or read option, they've figured it out and we're getting nothing out of those formations. Why not run 3 RBs like they're doing I'm San Fran? It's give you an extra blocker and nobody knows who's going to run plus you have the screen, etc. I just don't get it.

I'm sick of Bevell. Made my stomach turn to hear Pete say he thinks he's calling great games. Pete is literally the only person on earth who thinks that.

In 2006, Seattle was 26 of 27 in 3rd and 1 situations when running to the left.

This line might be decent at run blocking, but they simply can't compare to that

Never said they did. The problem in the Rams game was that Bevell didn't try to run. Our O-line is not 2005 caliber, but the players on it are still very good in that department.

We gained over 400 yards vs. Tampa and ran plenty of two back sets...

Down 21, you're going to lean on the pass more. That's just the nature of the game. They definitely relied on the run early and later after it was tied up.

Lynch has had great success rushing out of one-back sets.

I actually didn't think Bevell's playcalls sucked THAT bad vs the Bucs, my gameday comments notwithstanding. He did suffer from a little bit of "on or off" syndrome, that is, he'd fall in love with the run and it'd be all runs, then he'd fall in love with the pass and it'd be all pass, but that wasn't the case all the time. I didn't love the goal-line pass call, not one bit, but I have to admit there's no way he thought it'd get picked off and he'd never have the chance to run at all.

I liked that he called more quick-passing plays. They didn't help much, Russ still got killed, but that's the only way (if one exists) to help Russ a little, is if we get better at those and burn some defenses, so I think you have to call those. I liked that he ran a lot more. I liked that there were times on 3rd down when I was SURE the next play would be from an empty backfield set, and he resisted the temptation. I liked that we saw I-formation.

But TBH, and this is going to sound like pure Bevell hate, the fact that it took until THIS game to see those changes, despite the pounding on Russell that has been a season-long trend, makes me think that Pete had to shove it down his throat after last game. Even if not, even if Bevell finally stopped ignoring the outcomes on the field of his own accord, the fact that it took so long makes me want to choke him out. That should have been the adaptation after 1 half of a Russell pounding, not 6 games.

So I still hate the guy, but last game in particular was not atrocious by him.

I don't care if Bevell runs or passes when there on the goal line. I wish he would at least use a formation that shows that we may run Lynch. Then if he wants to pass use play action, the defense has too respect the run.

He keeps trying to split the defense down in the red zone and it does not work. Defense isn't going to do it with Wilson as a running threat up the middle.

What were you watching? They DID just that. RW ran a play action pass that was picked off. Baldwin was open the play was there to be made, just WIlson didn't put enough loft on the ball. That INT falls squarely on WIlson and no one else. It was a good play call, the execution was poor.

Did I want them to pound Lynch 3 yards out- Absolutely, but am I going to crucify Bevell for a play call that worked but was poorly executed? Absolutely not.

A goal line play they used a few times before but for some reason haven't seen forever I believe was a fake zone stretch run with the FB leaking out in the flat and the QB rolls out after faking the handoff to RB and the defender has to choose to either commit to the QB or the leave the FB open and usually the FB is open and result is TD

Sometimes being predictable isn't awful. Would rather be 'predictable' on the 3 than foolish. That was "give it to Lynch 3 straight times" territory. If you get stuffed then maybe go play-action on 4th or some other pass play.
