Good bump. I missed this last year.

Excellent work, Hawkscanner. As someone who moved to Seattle in 2000 from the midwest, I've had to piece together a lot of the 90s and 80s info. This puts the '84 marquee season in context with poignant stats, eloquent anecdotes, and essential video. Thank you!

I'm not qualified to rate one team against another, but this juxtaposition is a further reminder to enjoy what we have right now. It could be 20 years before we have another run of success like this. Take nothing for granted and enjoy the ride.

I didn't see 2014, but given our injuries, I am not sure I could make that pick anyway. For Seahawk history, 2013 wins it for me hands down. No team I would rather watch that is for sure.

And, to the OP, while I loved Easley, and while Kam did disappear for a bit this season, I wouldn't trade Kam. I totally get why you would, and I don't blame you for it at all. However, I don't think Easley could bring what Kam brings to this team - especially in this day and age of bigger players and stricter rules.

Great post!

That's my bad actually. The OP posted teams of specific years with comparative analysis.

I extrapolated that to more of a favorite or greatest "era" breaking into

mid 1980's (including the 1984 team)
mid 2000's (including the 2005 team)
Current team (2013 and 2014). Although I suppose you could include the 2012 team in this era.
