According to this click bait, Seattle is ranked as the 17th best team entering the season. I don't really have a problem with this ranking until we see how it all shakes out, BUT in his 17 to 32 two teams are missing out, Arizona and Denver.

Sorry writer but Arizona nor Denver should be ranked ahead of Seattle until they prove something.

It's a confusing piece at first, but the writer is giving his opinion on the strength of the offseason, not the strength of the roster. Otherwise, the Jets at #20 and Detroit at #29 are equally ridiculous. The narrative for each team doesn't address what's there from last year (unless contract extension related) but what was added this year.

I hardly read articles anymore because of nonsense like this.

I saw one the other day that made the argument that overall, we didn't address the dline. It listed our FA signings and left out D Jones and J Reed.

Half the folks that post this $hi+ are just hacks looking for status and clicks.

Everybody has an opinion. Lazy idiots included. - not saying this article is That bad. But overall, it's a problem.

Agree this is total nonsense and you can probably make a case for having teams in any order at all.
The ranking is essentially how moch the team has improved during the offseason compared to how much you would expect it to improve given the cap space and draft capital they had. So an overall ranking of draft picks, trades done, UFAs brought in, players dropped etc.

So for example if you think Sean Payton will improve the team more than who they would have got at 30 overall (bearing in mind there will be impacted in 2024 and beyond with the picks the 2024 picks they gave away) then the Broncos will get a high grade. There seems to be a concensus in the media that Payton will turn RW3 into a decent QB which if it is the case means the Broncos should be ranked high, if instead you think Payton will make little difference to them they should be ranked low.

In essence the writer is saying he knows more than all the HCs and GMs and therefore can tell whether the decisions they made were good or bad.

I forget Arizona has a team until someone brings them up. They're the Jaguars West and that might even be a slap to the face for the Jags.

That’s what ya get when you give clicks away with no regard to who you’re supporting.

If any one of us had the audience that would see our headline, all we would need to do is right the headline “Decline of the Seahawks” or “Seahawks will fall” and most fans would give us the click.

It’s how these shills make a living, very few write with and true passion for and knowledge of the topic at hand.

Conspiracy theory lol:

Pete Carroll paid the writer for this article, just so to motivate his players.
