Are the Seahawks the only team that can beat the undefeated?

Ok, so I know that you're not playing either team, but the way twitter is going, it looks like @Seahawks thinks that you might be the only ones that can keep the '72 Dolphns' record intact.

The two unbeaten teams will play eachother in on November 17th so you'd think that one of them is going to go down then, if they haven't already. If one of the teams does go all the way then you might get the chance. I picked Seattle for the Superbowl at the start. What a great game it would be. Seattle vs. Denver for the crown.

Denver and KC have to play each other twice. They could easily split and knock each other off long before that happens.

If it does happen that we are in the super bowl against an undefeated team, it would feel a lot like the giants/patriots super bowl and I enjoyed every second of the Patriots losing that one. Would be that much sweeter to see the seahawks do it, but I just don't think it comes down to that this year

I would love to play the role of the Giants against the Patriots in 2007.

Imagine all the possibilities of Sherman's "U MAD BRO?" pic to troll Broncos fans with. An 18-0 Denver team playing a 17-1 Seahawks team, and Seattle wins; haha. Both teams would finish 18-1, with just one TINY difference between the two. :)

I'd debate the Seahawks only losing one this season, but it sure would be sweet to see them spoil somebody's party.

I reckon that the Broncos beat the Chiefs both times.

I desperately want the Chiefs to beat the Broncos down, but it's not likely to happen. Then again, Jacksonville hung with Denver for 3 quarters.

Ahh, league parity; how I love thee so.

Denver plays Indianapolis and New England on the road. Big challenges there.

There's no way KC sweeps Denver.

I don't see the Broncos staying undefeated.

Even the great run the pats had a few years ago contained a couple games they barely squeaked by in. The Broncos pass defense is ranked #32 and I see some teams with good offenses being able to exploit it. For example, look at what Blackmon did to them. Imagine a more well-rounded team playing them.

Denver loses Sunday Night. Book it.

The Chiefs have zero chance to go unbeaten.

Except when the Hawks play...

:3-1:

Duh. Is there something wrong with that? Everyone wants their own team to win. For my entertainment viewing value of the other 31 teams, however, I want parity. :)

Nope, nothing wrong with it. The consistent part is that it applies to 32 teams, regardless of expectations. 8)

I think we can take on any team and win, including either of the current undefeated AFC teams. I'd love to see us with the opportunity!

Broncos remaining schedule looks a little tougher than KC's. They both got lucky they don't play us in the regular season.

Denver
REMAINING OPPONENTS: at Colts (4-2), vs. Redskins (1-4), at Chargers (3-3), vs. Chiefs (6-0), at Patriots (5-1), at Chiefs (6-0), vs. Titans (3-3), vs. Chargers (3-3), at Texans (2-4), at Raiders (2-4)

KC
REMAINING OPPONENTS: vs. Texans (2-4), vs. Browns (3-3), at Bills (2-4), at Broncos (6-0), vs. Chargers (3-3), vs. Broncos (6-0), at Redskins (1-4), at Raiders (2-4), vs. Colts (4-2), at Chargers (3-3)

That'd make for a hilarious Sherman t-shirt if the 17-1 Seahawks beat the 18-0 Broncos in the Super Bowl. It would read:

"I'm at 18-1 than you."

The Broncos pass defense is ranked #32, but that's also attributable to the fact that Peyton Manning often forces other teams to pass more because teams feel like they have to score faster to win against Peyton Manning. Denver also just got back old man Champ and they're getting back Von Miller. I don't think their pass defense is as bad as the rank indicates, unlike the Raiders who truly have a horrible pass defense.

KC is good. No one wins 6 straight in the NFL without having something going for them. Their D-line has looked great. And Alex Smith keeps them in ball games and doesn't make mistakes like their previous revolving-door litany of sup-par QBs. But I agree with many of you. They will not go unbeaten. In fact, I expect they will be tested in all 4 of their next 4 games, going 2-2.

Denver looks great, no question. The pass D is suspect, but the offense has been more than enough to make up for it. They've yet to face a D that can neutralize the Offense. If that should happen, there's a chance that Denver can crash hard. I think teams like Seattle, and San Fran and even KC are built on Defense enough to beat the Broncos.

I expect the Broncos will split with KC or else sweep them this season. But neither team will finish 16-0.

I also don't think Seattle will finish 15-1. My guess is 12-4 or 13-3 for my Hawks. But they will probably win the Superbowl. I'm more afraid of San Fran @ SF than I am of any team in the AFC right now. Except maaayybe New England in Foxboro, which we don't need to worry about this season.

It'll be out in the weather this year--advantage Hawks--Manning's a weather pussy.
