Anyone feel like the dawgs are going to feast on the Big ten?

Having the Apple Cup in September has taken all the excitement out of it for me. I doubt I'm alone in this. Shoot, even my coug friends were saying it just feels like another game.

Go Dawgs
Same thing as the Civil War in Oregon. The rest of the season....who cares?

Apple cup is always tough, but these aren't the Dawgs I was looking for... Might be a tough 1st year under Fisch

Too many mistakes, WAY too many penalties. Tip of the cap the WSU, they earned it. If you can't score on 1st and goal from the 9??? You deserve a loss. If you setting for FG's, over and over again, you deserve a loss. Most of my Coug friends said they thought they blew it, yet again. That was only their 2nd win in 11 Apple Cup games. They deserve to be stoked. I found myself barely bummed, which would have never happened in the past in the rare case that WSU actually beats the Dawgs.

All signs were Jed Fisch was a POS as a human being. But I hoped he could coach.

He seems overmatched, no matter whose kids he fills the staff with.
(And that 2nd QB is not worth cycling in. He feels more like a carnival sideshow, not a polished QB.)

They look like a very poorly coached team. They just can't stop shooting themselves in the foot over and over and over again. Sooo many drive killing penalties on offense. Sooo many drive extending penalties on defense. Really stupid play calls in critical moments (yeah, let's throw it 25 yards sideways on 3rd and 2 for an incompletion instead of handing it off to Coleman who looks like a beast out there).

4 and a half games in, and to me, this looks like an incredibly poorly coached team.

Yep.

Shades of Tyrone Willingham, but for the NFL coaching scions he brings in.
But my god, his reaction to that bad play in the Apple Cup was classic Ty Willy crap.

You CANNOT demand accountability if YOU do not TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY yourself. Especially at the HC! The buck stops with you. You ultimately ALWAYS are at fault, no matter who 'didn't execute'

BTW Did we really effing go to TWO passing plays at the 2 yd line instead of running up the middle? WTH is wrong with this coach??? That entire drive was on Coleman's back and we decided to pass inside the 3.

Ficsh is Sh*t. I predict he will be as bad as Ty Willingham was. Which is the worst coach I can remember.

Shockingly undisciplined play and completely and utterly incompetent coaching.

If this doesn't improve dramatically over the course of the season, Fisch should be one and done. This is as bad as Willingham and Gilbertson were, and they were as bad as it gets.

I don't like this coach. I thought they should have hired Pete Carroll. Outgained Rutgers 521-299 in yards and lose. Just bad.

Honestly Chapow, He's likely worse than Ty.

I have NEVER been more embarrassed and disgusted to be a Husky fan in my life. And I was in those bleachers watching Ty put together terrible games against San Jose St.
Sure Ty also blamed others, kept talking about 'execution' and 'needing time to get HIS players in' (whatever that was).
But not once have I ever witnessed blatantly cheap and dirty crap like I saw today.

Diving on players already on the ground after the play was over?? As dirty as even Olin Kreutz was...we didn't pull that crap in Husky football.
Sure this new Ghost of Ty Willingham was just as undisciplined as Tyrone but we still didn't take cheap shots like we did tonight.

So much poor coaching. If you lose to another team that outplays you, you suck it up. Ideally you learn from it and get better.
But if you dive on guys on the ground and go low repeatedly? Karma is going to bite you. Makes me sick. That is NOT Husky football. Honestly it is crap that Arizona used to pull.
Husky football is better than that.

I feel sorry for poor Will Rogers. This was not what he signed up for to come here. (especially with us throwing in that sideshow 'QB' every now and then just to keep poor Will off rhythm.)

(also why are our safeties tackling head down helmet first?? This is a team that has Curtis Williams embedded in the sideline for a reason. A whole lot of just cheap undisciplined garbage ball).

A Ty doesn't get you over 500 yards of offense though, does he?
I get it, they should have won but nobody told the kicker to miss
all those kicks.
A dumb freshman runs onto the field on a live ball? This is a patched
up team thanks to Kalen up and running, I don't think anybody including
Pete could have done this any better.
It's going to take a while to fix the mess Kalen created by leaving.

I always thought you guys missed the boat by not hiring Grubb. And watching Grubb in game changes, I’m super happy he’s a Seahawk OC. He coaches circles around Fisch.

What bothers me about this season is that both losses so far we played like a team that could easily win the game, but poor discipline, stupid personnel changes, and bad play calling caused us to lose. What a waste of talent.

Husky were sloppy and undisciplined for sure. There was some major home cooking going on though...

Phantom facemask on 3rd down sack
No call DPI in the red zone
No call on roughing the passer on the tip play
Blatant hold on the big run from their goal line

And then you had Mike Pereira come on at the end of the game and say that the clock operator should be thrown out of the stadium. Which was true, before that I was shocked seeing seconds rolling off after plays MULTIPLE times in the 4th. I was shocked they actually said it on the broadcast. Usually they try to protect all those guys. Should have been at least 11 seconds or more than what was on the clock at the end. Mike's words, not mine...

UW wasn't the only one that was sloppy yesterday, but with all that said they still should have won the game and they shot themselves in the foot. Self inflicted wounds have been reoccurring so far this year. They have to get better and win these sort of games. If they don't win, the big NFL coaching names they have aren't going to mean jack when it comes to recruits...

Why is Fisch a POS human being? Who did he rape or murder?
You don't need to be Diddy to be a POS. It isn't a binary thing, not just rape or murder puts you in that category.

For me, the way he treated his kids shows the guy he was. Read up on when he announced he was coming here and how he let his kids (team) know. Brought them in, made the announcement, stuck around for a SHORT time then bailed to jump on a flight up here? That is not how leaders treat teams they have built. Not a fan of how Kalen let his own team know but that is nothing compared to how Jeb handled it.

Then for all the complaining and excuses about how Washington lost so many players (some likely because they wanted no part of Jebb), we then turned around and raided AZ...doing the same damned thing to them we were complaining was done to us.
You're right, the way Jed handed things rubbed me the wrong way. I'm not SURE he is a POS, but he sure smells like one. Now with him bringing back memories of Ty Willy? That ain't great.

BTW Ty Willingham had plenty of high-octane offensive productions. Remember Stanback? Ty just submarined the team over time, my worry with this new Ghost of Ty Willingham we seem to have hired.

Also, yes. I am livid that the UW drove Grubb off, to hire freaking whathisname. Grubb WANTED the job. And I bet Grubb would have stemmed the tide of exits, or offset them.

Grubb was never at Bama long enough to build a team, much less relationships with the team built. Not even CLOSE to comparable.

I disagree totally on TY .. I do agree on Grubb but I'm so happy he's on the Hawks
and if Mac should leave one day, Grubb should be next in line (I hope).
