We HAVE TO see these starters go more than 5 innings, period. Coming off a 13-inning game, this bullpen is gassed.
3 of 4 has to happen. I don't expect a sweep, not realistic. But 3 of 4 would be huge.

I don't understand starters today at all, they have pitch counts that
do not help with injuries, I see more hurt in this era than I ever did
in all the eras I've watched baseball.
Something is off in teaching these pitchers how to pitch efficiently
and training to go more than 4-6 innings.

No doubt. I was talking to the usher up by our seats and we were talking about back in the day when complete games were common. He went to games WAY back when one starter would throw a double header.

I almost laughed when the IBBed Geno. Why? Just throw him sliders and he'll swing and miss.

6 game winning streak and it doesn't really matter how in the end, but our bullpen is gassed. We need to start winning in 9 with starters going 6-7 innings.

The thing that cautions me, however, is the Mariner Sisyphus thing. Right when we roll the rock up to the tipping point, it rolls right back down again. Being a Mariner fan.
