After four long years of mediocrity (2008-2011), its nice to see the Seahawks get their swag back. I know its still early in the season but its hilarious to see the rest of the NFC Weak back on rock-bottom where they belong after living there much of this last decade.

But I might have to take that back in the future only because it would be scary to see the Rams and Cardinals with a top 5 picks and the 49ers with a top 10 one.

Could you imagine if the Cards got Clowney, the Rams got Bridgewater, and the 49ers trade up for the best WR in the draft?

Hopefully, the NFC Weak becomes more competitive, we can't have them making the Seahawks look bad.

I think by the end of the year the worst record in the NFC West will be 5-11. Arizona is the worst team, and they've been competitive in their games. The Rams seem improved despite their 1-2 record. I'm guessing they finish with 8 wins. The 49ers are a mystery. If they finished 12-4, it wouldn't shock me. If they finished 8-8, it wouldn't shock me.

Really, Kearly? 12-4 wouldn't surprise you? That team just isn't that good. Some great components, but a whole hell of a lot of holes.

27th in total offense, 29th in points. This after a high scoring game the first week. The 29th rush defense. Aldon Smith out for god knows, Vernon Davis out. Cover Boldin who's an average regular season receiver and Papaki has no one to throw to. Option doesn't work if you can hardly run the ball. I know it's only through 3 weeks, but it's absolutely telling of what's to come.

This time last year the Cardinals just got done beating us, the Patriots, and smashing the Eagles. You'd have thought they would have been battling it out with the Niners for the division. Well, we all saw how that turned out. It's just too early in the season to have a real grasp on who's going to be good in the long haul. I still feel that the NFC West is the best division and that the Rams and Cardinals are going to look great, and that the 49ers will be our toughest opponent.

You've got an excellent point however you arguing with Russell Wilson, Tarvaris Jackson, and Beast Mode against the disaster that was the Cardinals backfield last season.

Matt Flynn > Cardinals QBs
Brady Quinn > Cardinal QBs

Hell, even possibly:

Charlie Whitehurst > Cardinals QBs

A little less probable but arguably:

Josh Portis > Cardinal QBs

That team collapsed behind a bad offense and Whisenhut ran out of lessons... Seahawks are far from it even with Wilson and Lynch missing time, in my opinion:

Jackson + Turbin, Michael, Ware would STEP-UP.

If the Niners go back to running Power Football they would be extremely tough to beat

Their OC Greg Roman needs to stop getting cute with his playcalling and use the bruisers he has and physcially annihilate opposing defenses

San Fran is a complete dumpster fire right now. They are dealing with a major Super Bowl hangover and the hits just keep coming with the loss of several key contributors to injury or addiction treatment.

Kaepernick is also turning out to be what most Seahawks fans thought him to be, a one read and run QB with elite speed. They scored 7 points, at home, to a middling Indianapolis defense. For all his physical tools, Kaep had no answer and just looked lost out there.

Rams are going to have to lose a lot of games to get a shot at Bridgewater. The Jaguars have the inside track right now.

Add to this a limited receiving stable, and an oddly ineffective run game.

I will be surprised if they win 9 games.

Don't overreact too much to the records 3 weeks in.

Remember the Cards started out 4-0 last year before finishing 5-11. It's a long season and there's plenty of time for these guys to turn it around, which they will. Too much talent to keep losing like this.

Just be happy we have a 2 game lead on everyone. That's really the thing that helps us. The other guys' records are going to be get better.

Probably the most important football fact from last year. How quickly things can change!

9ers defense looks like dookie. They should not have let Goldson go. They may get their running game going, but on D, they are not looking good. Also Willis is gimped.

The Niners badly miss Crabtree. If they had someone that could stretch defenses and maybe beat press coverage every once in awhile, they wouldn't be this inept on offense. If Crabtree and Manningham can get back and produce immediately (maybe a problem with the injuries that they are coming off of), that can open things up for them the rest of the way. Or they can abandon the RO and just run traps, counters, and slams with Gore and Hunter, then soften the defense up for PA, like we do.

When it comes to defense, I don't think trading out Goldson for Reid has been the problem. I think it's that their LBs have regressed so far this year and they seem disinterested in stopping the run. Lacy had a decent game against them, and Lynch and Bradshaw played very well against them on the ground.
