My problem is this if it was just one incident Ok I can see a brake. But this has been a history if stupid immature actions that need to be addressed. It's actually to me to the point of let's see what I can get away with. It's transparent that he does not care. Sorry Marvin I just don't agree with you.
Yes the punishment must fit the crime. And it will hopefully.

No worries. I'm used to people here not agreeing with me. :D

As I said before. The guy is a first class moron. I can only hope he grows up and matures. I'm sorry, but the airport thing, while moronic and stupid, doesn't warrant over a year in prison for me. The DUIs? That's much more troubling...especially since he was popped once and did it again. Thank God he didn't hurt anyone.

The Gun Charge? Again...stupid. As I understand it, its a tough thing to prove from legal perspective. I honestly don't know where I stand on it because if he were a player on most other teams they wouldn't even be illegal. Still...it is illegal in CA and he did break the law. Not sure what I think should happen in that case.

I agree on his pattern of behavior. I just hope something here knocks some sense into him.

Opinions would be different if his jersey was neon green and blue.

Maybe, if he were a one time screw up. He isn't. Be honest. You are wondering, just a bit at least, what stupid shit Aldon will do next.

20 sacks is a helluva drug, isn't it?

Pretty amazing how you try and spin this like we are just bad people. Like you said if he were wearing our colors, how do you think Niner fans responses would be? Seriously. They absolutely crucify any thing they can imaginarily (new word feel free to use it) blow up. They wish death and career ending injuries on guys like Wilson simply because they are ignorant haters.

Don't come on here trying to tell us our shit stinks when you are the outhouse. Your fan base is well recognized around the league for it's ignorance and self entitlement. Trying to paint the picture that someone would only see Aldon in a negative light because he is a Niner is as ignorant as your moron player claiming to have a bomb in an airport.

You know how much you like to call yourselves NFL royalty? Well guess what, your not. You had a nice run that ended 20 years ago. The current king of your favorite past time is the Seattle Seahawks. No criminals on the team and no entitled fan base. Just good plain honest and hard working people. Consistently documented as the best team and fan base in the NFL and a fresh new (not last century) Super Bowl trophy to prove it.

Hell the NFL has to water down your schedule and increase our difficulty just to keep you competitive. It worked two years ago but no so much last year and next year will make you look even sillier.

Go back to your webzone where imagination is fact and your brethren take pride in wishing harm on the competition because it is their only chance to be competitive while you make excuses for your cast of criminals led by the most immature coach and QB the league has ever been witness to.

We're not buying your tripe here. We know who you are and we know what you have become. Just like the Raiders and Bengals of old, you have become the embarrassment of the NFL. Both team and fan base.

My apologies to rlkats, it must be horrifying to watch such a proud franchise be taken over by ignorant trolls who grew up during or after the dynasty years and have absolutely no clue what it is to be a struggling franchise. No concept that they are just one of 32 teams and that the world and the NFL does not owe them anything. You are the guy we all feel bad for when his team struggles and it must be intolerable to have to bear the burden for so many who just seem to think that they should be seen as NFL royalty because they did something 25 years ago. Even your old players have to be embarrassed by the current state of the team and fan base. That has got to make people like you a little sad.

"Watered down schedule"? Deliberately made your schedule harder? Is that what your excuse is going to be next season if you don't do as well? Maybe you should read the thread in the Shack about all the whining Hawk fans crying about the schedule.

Don't pretend to act like you know anything about me, I was watching the 9ers before your team came into existence.

Find me one post on any team forum where I have personally wish harm to any of your players. Should I judge you based on the some of the ignorant statements made on this site? Like the one where a member here said "I hope your plane crashes coming back from Green Bay"

Stop taking things so personally, I wasn't trying to flip anything on your fan base. Just pointing out what I consider human nature. Your fan base will tolerate more from your own players then they will from someone else's. Especially 49ers, obviously based on the number of 49er related threads.

Face it, no ones team is immune, and until your team can walk on water It can happen any team anytime. Be careful where you throw rocks.

Well, Lynch was .08 and weaving a bit on the highway in a van. He apologized and has been pretty stand-up ever since. Hell, .08 used to be an 'acceptable' level. Smith blew a .194 in 2012 and a .15 in 2013 (plus pot and pils.) That's going above and beyond the call of duty there.

I'd call that worse, but that's just me.

Aldon Smith shouldn't have any thing coming from the LAX thing. However, that guy is facing 3 felony gun related charges that 2 of are looking good. Regardless of the purchase charge (a charge of it's own) just the possession charge is enough for some prison time in CA. So is discharging the weapon in the manner he did.

I would bet money that 2 of those charges stick in some manner. There might be a deal, but when this is said and done he will have no less than 1 felony conviction that likely carries time. It is completely possible that he is convicted of two and if the judicial system wants to go by the book all 3 are potential guilty verdicts. That other stuff is peanuts in comparison. There is no doubt in my mind that dude is going to feel some serious heat no matter how good his attorney is.

No way the DA spends this much time on those cases and works a plea for misdemeanor. They could give Aldon the minimum and suspend 10 months of a year sentence. Then if the LAX thing was a misdemeanor conviction the review will add some time.

Smith is going to be a convicted felon when this is over. Any coverage stating that he beats those gun charges in all is doing some crappy reporting. CA has a serious hard on for non registered assault weapons. 2- 5.56/.223 and 1 7.62? Ouch.

I am really not trying to compare the two, I think they're both wrong. Lately the 9ers have been in the media, the Hawks have had their turn in the spotlight, tomorrow it will be some other team. As long as there are players and fans there will be discussions like this one.

Oh look at the butt-hurt.

No group takes on the image of its exceptions. Unfortunately for Niner Nation you are one of the exceptions.

Excuses for not doing well? You and Marvin have been doing that for as long as you have been here. The Niners have done nothing to gain ground on how the Hawks play football, zero. I wouldn't assume that the Hawks will be any less successful in 2014, certainly not for anything the Niners have done.

Niner fans said all the same garbage last offseason. "Now the Seahawks won't sneak up on anybody" "let's see how they play with a target on their back" "PEDs suspensions from all the cheating players" "Russell Wilson will regress, Lynch will miss 4 games, The Hawks can't play on the road". Those are the things that Niner fans used as their last predictions of Seattle demise. Then they won the Super Bowl. Now they are reaching for RWs divorce as a hopeful downward spiral.

But Niner fans know all about excuses. Every time they play the Hawks there is mention of a league conspiracy, Seahawks cheating, pumped in crowd noise or Paul Allen paying off the league.

The Niners best DE is in deep shit with those gun charges. Niner fans keep focusing on the purchase (which isn't hard to prove in a gun transaction) when the real issue is that he was in possession of 3 assault rifles that are not registered with CA. Undeniable facts. That much is KNOWN. There is no technicality, nothing that can change that. CA can make the laws they want and it is the owner's responsibility to know them. There is no "oh he just didn't know" argument. The constitutional argument is not going to fly either, otherwise all the other guys found guilty would win their appeals and there has been a bunch of those convicted with cleaner situations than Smith.

Aldon does not fit into ANY of the legal arguments for possession. His ONLY hope would be an illegal search, but that would already be established and the charge would have been dropped. I think it is a shit law, but it is clear as crystal to a Cali gun owner. Dude is in hot water no matter what anyone wants to believe.

Oh.. and I have known the Niners well since before the Hawks were a team too. Doesn't that make me just as much as a Niner expert as you?

Wish we could go back a bit in time and find all the people defending the employment of the SeaHawk Serial Rapists Jeremy Stevens. Ahh throwing of all the stones. How long was he a seahawk, finally after his last rape, it was finally enough.

Wow, that is about the most ignorant post I have ever read on here.

Where do you even start with this?

Obviously a Niner fan trying to make himself feel better but this isn't the webzone. You can't just make stuff up and use it as facts.

Hardly anyone even knew about Steven's past when he was on the team. It was pretty much hushed by the university and didn't come out until later. There wasn't twitter or TMZ back then. By the way it was his past not during his time with the Seahawks and no one supported him or made excuses for him. At least none I ever seen. He was constantly chastised for his inconsistency and poor hands and I don't remember anyone being upset when he departed. Most were happy to see him go.

It was also one incident. It sounds horrible from the info I read on it and I don't doubt he is guilty of it but there was nothing like you want to imagine. Sorry.

Now if you want to look at someone who did have an incident while on his current team. We can look at Crabtree if you like. I know I know, every Niners fan in the world will deny it happened until he is on another team but the truth is he was accused of rape just like Stevens and that is as far as either case got and it was while he was a Niner, not something that came out from an event in college.

Or hey how about Kaepernick? Isn't he currently under investigation for potentially date raping a woman? We around here now refer to that as serving a Kaepernick Cocktail. You probably don't like the sound if it but hey at least you finally get to see his name spelled correctly on .Net.

Funny how I have become programmed to check the post count of unfamiliar names before I even read the post. So many Niner fans trying to sneak in a jab or pretend they are Hawk fans it has just become to predictable. Go back to your webzone were you can make stuff up and most everyone there will take it as fact while you justify your serial rapists and drunks.

Man you guys are dumb.

So your using a time machine to drag crap up that were accusations of a former player that was here a decade ago? That and you don't even know what the situation really was, your pulling it out of the air.

I think you could go look on any team and go back in time and find a situation that could support an arguement you want to make.

This is weak even by bad smack talk standards, which BTW should be in the Smack Shack and not here in the main forum. Take this stuff there if you dare and if you feel you want to defend your position with this kind of drivel.

I'm sorry but you outed yourself there. How in any sane world is AllDumb Smith's DUI on the same level as Lynch's? Are you a little slow or something because I don't want to make fun of someone who isn't smart enough to understand the difference between one person with one alchohal related event in his life, who was right at the legal limit when it happened and another guy with multiple DUI's, alchohal related events, gun charges and was recently arrested in an airport for about the most ignorant thing possible while reportedly being drunk AGAIN. Meanwhile both his DUI's he blew near or over TWICE the legal limit and one of those times was at 7:00am in a residential neighborhood while kids were going to school, he was suppose to be to practice in a couple hours and he crashed his car passed out into a tree with his foot stomped to the accelerator.

Seriously that you can ask the question of is his DUI any worse than Lynch's just really makes you look let's just say special. That is a special kind of denial right there. Wow just Wow.

WTH?

Stevens? SERIOUSLY. That's a pretty big reach right there, especially since no one knew anything about what Stevens was doing until it was much later.

It is LvnginTacoma Rich... A Niner fan. When they are out of the news, the Seahawks are the anti-Christ, when the Niners are in the news, "we are all the same".

Wish we could go back a bit in time and find all the people defending the employment of the SeaHawk Serial Rapists Jeremy Stevens. Ahh throwing of all the stones. How long was he a seahawk, finally after his last rape, it was finally enough.

It sucks that this dude is allowed to sully the good name of "Arrested Development." Did you even get any of the jokes, or did you just think that a character with a hook for a hand was funny?
