I think Aldon just needs to sit down have a few beers and try to figure out what his problem is.

Agreed. He needs the real Aldon's frame of mind to analyze his issue. Maybe call up Goodell to let him know how he feels, but do it while taking a long drive up the PCH.

He never got arrested again, that is just the 12th mans wishful imagination.

Oh wait, you mean this isn't just being made up by HAwks fans? Hmm, who'da thunk it.

Popeye, maybe you should stop slipping yourself those Kaepernick cocktails. Those are designed to effect other peoples (womans) memory, not your own. Though I do understand why you may want to forget a few things.

The "Kaeperblitz" a beer, a glass of Fireball followed up by a bong hit.

Or maybe call it the "LockerNick". Since those guys seem to be so tight. All hanging out in Miami. Kaep might have been there with his posse trying to work a deal with the Dolphins. It would require Lock and Patton to be included. That way he can wear the colors he likes so much while throwing passes to receivers who are on the same plane of existence.

You know, maybe Marvin is right. Aldon got his weapons, DUI and possession charges in the Bay area. A place where one can bash another with a beer bottle and not be charged with anything as long as the victim is a lesser player.

They needed Brooks on the field, the DA knows this. Why would the DA reduce the chances of the Niners quest for 6 by prosecuting Smith and sabotaging the defense? Heh.... the DA has his luxury suite in the new stadium free of charge just for the Brooks exoneration. I wonder what else the Niners can offer.

LMAO, license you mean? Good one there.

Question for anyone. It was reported the DA issued an arrest warrant for Brooks but it was pulled before they served it. Who has power over the DA to pull that warrant? I mean besides Eddie D. of course.

But haven't you heard? Being a convicted felon, applying corruption to salary regulations and spoiling your players makes him the "classiest" owner in the league. Eddie knows corruption. He is the Jedi-Knight-Bruce-Norris of it.

As hilarious as it would be, even if Smith is convicted I can easily see him on a deal where he doesn't see any real time bars. This isn't Dexter Manley material YET.

But could you imagine the number of memes floating around if it actually happened? Not likely, but the potential is very appealing from an entertainment aspect. The troll meter would be of Biblical levels. The average Niner meltdown would pale in comparison to the erupting volcano in Niner nation.

There is no way we are blessed with that opportunity. Maybe a conviction, but prison time would be like non stop uncensored Comedy central roast of SF.

Dexter Manley was sad. :( That dude somehow graduated from college never learning how to read. That's just nuts.

Manley should be the guy that does the NFL rookie orientation.

The fact this just got reduced from a Felony charge should shed some light on how serious the matter ACTUALLY was

Oh, give me a break. What's next?

"The fact that O.J. Simpson was acquitted should shed some light on how serious his accusations ACTUALLY were."?

If this were any non-celeb/athlete, they'd be prosecuted to the fullest extent of The Patriot Act and probably never be able to find a decent job ever again.

Above reproach? More like above the law. What a god damned joke.

Right...because THATS the exact same thing.

OJ was CHARGED with Murder. He just got a great legal team to get him out of it.

Aldon isn't even being charged with a felony and its still under consideration if he even gets charged with a misdemeanor.

Wow. The BS is getting deep in here.

So sick of the "he's getting off because he's an athlete" thing when in reality its "I'm mad he's getting off because he plays for a team I don't like and want really bad things to happen to them".

Aldon is a moron. Absolute wrong place to make that joke. No defending that. In the end tho, it was a joke and the punishment should fit the crime.

How is that BS? Don't put words in my mouth. I feel the same about everyone; the team or the player has nothing to do with it.

It sure as hell isn't a joke and only a damn homer would say that. Anyone regular civilian would go through hell for the stupid crap he's done, but here's Smith again, getting a slap on the wrist.

I agree in some aspect. I'll take the simple route, I could careless what team he plays for. In the end he broke the law and committed a crime. Through out the last year, same thing he broke laws committed crimes. However he probably got an option to go to rehab (since we really DON'T have all the details i.e. plea bargain or anything like that) So in the way I see it, average everyday Joe from the events last year would probably have a misdemeanor as well as probably a 1yr of Supervised probation.. Who knows maybe unsupervised at the least. Then add this on top of it, average everyday Joe would now be sitting behind bars with a pretty hefty bond, as well and being slapped onto every no fly list. So with that in mind I'm not going to ignore the fact of him being a celeb is helping him greatly. After all how times do we hear about multiple celebs in trouble for stuff everyday joe gets into .. yet they're slapped on the hand compared to average day joe.

And no Marvin this isnt a "I'm mad he's getting off because he plays for a team I don't like and want really bad things to happen to them" because up until that comment I can say I've agreed with most everything said.

Misunderstanding me. The situation is no joke. It was an should be treated seriously.

His COMMENT was a joke. Moronic for sure, but I don't think anyone should face a felony charge for making a really bad joke, athlete or not.
