Hey guys, massive Irish Titans fan here and a pretty big Hawks fan too.

Planning to go to the game this year on October 13th, will there be an issue if i wear a Titans jersey?
It will be a Locker jersey if that helps!

Super Random. There are plenty of pricks in any NFL stadium and ours is no different, in that respect.

I'm active on one of the Titans forums and they seem to think that (for the most part) Seattle will be fine (i was there nearly 20 years ago and have a couple of friends working for MS who go to games) they havent reported any incidents.

I'll have my wife with me and she'll be in a TJ Hous jersey anyway

As long as you don't act obnoxious, you should be fine. C-Link has to be one of the less punchy stadiums around.

Will you have a problem wearing a Titans jersey?

It all depends on how you handle a ribbing. Smile and laugh it off, you will have no problems. Start flexing your muscles well then you will have a problem. It is that way no matter where you go.

"As long as you dont"
"It all depends on how you.."

Again. Super Random. There are rules of etiquette in opposing stadiums that are always going to make you more safe but to suggest that following those 'rules' while wearing an opppnent's jersey will keep you safe or that there aren't a smattering of pricks looking for someone to victimize in Seattle is naive.

We are not known for being a dangerous stadium ala Philly, San Fran, or Buffalo but there are no guarantees, bro.

Expensive tickets are your best bet in any stadium.

Or put your wife in a Stealers jersey. Nobody will even notice you're there.

Seattle is safer than most NFL venues. However, malcontents, cowards and predators also show up and often target out of town jerseys. Stadiums are monitored so you and your family can focus on the game and enjoy the spectacle. Parking lots and such outside the stadium do not offer the security of a stadium. Your approach and departure from NFL stadiums is where you want to refocus and be alert to possible threats. Remember that all big cities have bad areas like 'pioneer square' that can be avoided. My advice is to preview and preplan your trip.

Share any security concerns with the Seattle Seahawks, hotel-transportation accomodators, and travel advisors. Go to the game with a well thought out plan and weekend itinerary. Have fun.

Go Seahawks.

hi guys, appreciate all the advice. Jville fully agree with what you say and my plan would be to wear my jersey in the stadium and thats it.
However i think the fact that the Hawks are heavy favourites to win will also help me, however if the hawks get beat i will be taking my jersey off!

More than anything as I'll be with my wife she is my priority

@ stephen i dont think that will be an issue. I will be cheering for football as i'm first and foremost a fan of the game so a good play by either team will be applauded.

Also im irish, everyone loves irish people!

As long as you're not a douchebag opposing fan starting crap, you shouldn't have any problem. Yea, there are chuckleheads in every stadium, but Seattle's one of the more civil ones out there. Best bet is to spring for a couple of Seahawks jerseys before the game and root for the home team. You're virtually guaranteed a wonderful time if you do.

Here's an idea: Try sending the 'Hawks an email expressing your concerns. And ask them if there is usually any trouble in the section you're going to be seated in.

Of course, they'll say 'no problem,' but I wouldn't be surprised if you saw a little extra security in your section.

It's been my observation that you will be "booed" on your way up the stairs to your seats. If you arrive before noon, there will be fewer to raze you. However, coming back from a "potty stop" will elicit more than a few "remarks". I would not expect any "course rudeness" or foul language ....unless you start something.....then things can get out of hand pretty fast.

You will be fine.

I can just about promise you that you will be good. The only time I see opposing fans in Seattle get a larger than normal amount of grief is when the fan antagonizes the home fans. You will hear visiting fans complain. But for the most part, these are fans that do not understand that attending an opposing stadium in visiting gear means you're going to get booed and heckled. IMO, as a fan who has attended over 10 games in opposing stadiums, you show up in the opponents colors, you are going to get booed, AT THE VERY LEAST. If this happens, and that is all, you got off easy. I've seen visiting fans in other stadiums get assaulted without provocation. I have no seen this in Seattle. I have seen people in Seattle get ugly. But it's always only when the visiting fan feels a bit too comfortable, and gets overly cocky with the home fans. This happens, IMO, because Seattle is actually super easy on visiting fans. Our ushers and security looks out for visiting fans more than any other stadium I've visited. That along with the overall accepting home fans, lets some visiting fans to get overly comfortable, to the point where they cross the line of acceptable visiting fan behavior, and do something to ask for it.

Oh, and if you're wearing a Jake Locker jersey, you'll get that much more rope. I remember the last time they visited, I had a family of Titans fans sitting in front of me. Wearing both Locker and Hasselbeck jerseys. They didn't taunt the home fans, and they didn't get one ounce of flack.

Unless you turn to the Hawks fans behind you and attempt to rub your fortune in their faces, you will be fine. Just be ready to get booed a good deal when you walk up the stairs. Be ready for that and you will be perfectly fine.

I would say hi to everyone around you, let them know you are a Seahawks fan. maybe put on a Seahawks cap, even though you are wearing another jersey people will see the cap.

The only time I ever felt threatened was at the Seahawks SteAlers game in 2006. I wore my authentic Alexander jersey sitting with a few other .Net fans/members. On the way out I was heckled by countless Pissburgh fans. I had about a 1/2 mile walk to my car but asked security at the stadium to be on alert. I made it to my car ok. But it hadn't been since I was walking the dark streets of China that I felt that much at risk for my life.

Seattle is good man, just be respectful to those around you. If you need make a friend here on .Net and ask them to meet up with you before and or after the game, so they can show you the ropes
