When I did rock I just peered out my window or peephole because the SWAT team was a coming. I never thought about violence. In fact, it made me meek and quiet.

This brings back some horrible memories.

While in college, I worked at a shelter for abused and neglected kids.* It was a group home for kids that were so horribly abused they couldn't even get foster care. I saw kids as young as 4 and you just cannot conceive of the things that people do to their kids.

I see a lot of invective out there about this. How the guy who did it deserve to die, or be raped in prison or buried alive or whatever. We all know that is just lip service to the issue, none of those things will happen to him or if it does it won't fix/change things.

If you really are upset by this and you really want to do something, go find out about being a foster parent so you can give some kid a shot at a better life, or donate time/money to causes that help kids like this. Or don't drink around kids or remove yourself from them when upset/angry no matter what.

Just a story with a lot of suck to it. It sucks for the 2 year old child. It sucks for AP. And it sucks that after all the advances we have made in society about righting wrongs/human rights....there are thousands of kids out there in horrible situations with no way out that are going to endure some horrible things tonight from people that are supposed to protect/love/care for them.

*Oddly enough, that job was actually the best job but the lowest paying I have ever had.

I was a foster parent for 4 years, for a child who's mom prostituted her for meth. Raised her from 8-12. Of course that doesn't outweigh the fact I type odd things, on this site, so I'm still a deplorable human apparently (inside joke). But yeah, I hear ya.

And, I disagree, this guy will get his in prison.
