Adrian Peterson's son in critical condition

Yeah definitely think he should've been in the child's life sooner, but can't knock him for what's happened and how how he's handled it.

We're told ... when Adrian was first informed about the matter, he didn't question the possibility he was the dad -- but rather asked how he could help the situation.

Sources tell us ... a few weeks ago, A.P. started to plan a trip to South Dakota to meet the child for the first time and he was supposed to fly out later this month.

But when he heard the news about the attack on the 2-year-old, Peterson dropped everything and jetted over to Sioux Falls as soon as he could.

We're told Adrian met the child for the first time while the boy was on life support.

Multiple sources tell us ... Adrian has been very involved since the tragedy and was the one pushing the have the child's organs donated to other people in need of a transplant.

Hmm was not aware the mother recently just told him, thought he knew and it was just a "love child". He found out 2-3 months ago that it might be his, but only recently found out that it is his, so yeah you can't really blame him especially when he has a commitment to the NFL with camps and practices. Sad that he was planning to visit later this month, but unfortunately it had to come early.

Yes, his sex life is not the media's business. It is however the business of those seven children and any others he may have fathered.

When some famous people (like AP) run around trying to lecture others about morality, then they better make sure, they are living up to their own standards.
If A.P. does indeed have all these kids out of wedlock, then he is another hypocrite.
I don't condone the media digging into his personal life, but when you put yourself in a position to judge other people's chosen lifestyle .. that's exactly what happens.

Controversial opion would be that yes he does.

If he got involved in the 7 kids life then he could oversee the situation they are in and if it is unsuitable for kids then he could file to get them out of there. You can't just have kids everywhere and say you are not responsible for them being in bad situations where these things happen.

He is not guilty of anything illegal but saying he has NO FAULT is taking it one step to far. Sure he didn't know about this kid until now so at that point he couldn't have done much before now. He could on the other hand have put himself in a position where he wouldn't not know about a kid for 2 years.

He is responsible for the life of his other 7 kids and the environment they are raised in
