I really like the Sweezy and Scruggs picks. Scruggs is way more talented than his draft slot because he was injured his senior season and Sweezy's transition to OG is going faster than anyone could have predicted.

I'll have to stay on the lines for my pick because I'm a fan of the big maulers. If Carp can stay healthy and play to his talent level he will immediately solidify the entire oline. I'm really going to pull for him this year.

He was starting last year and was listed as starter going into camp last week fwiw.

My money's on (not really) John Moffitt. His uncle is cool as hell and I think John gets a bad rap around here. Seems like a solid NFL player and a pretty cool dude who doesn't take himself too seriously. I'm pulling for him.

I clicked on this thread only to offer some Moffitt love, thinking I'd be the only one. I'm rooting for him all the way. Even got his jersey for my woman. That's right. Damn proud of it too. Even if he never starts another game for the Hawks, it was worth it for Puppet Marshawn and Robot Russell from the RRR.

But I think his play might surprise some folks, either by getting the nod over Sweezy, or by becoming a long-term starter for his next team.

TE Darren Fells, this 6'7 ex basketball player has the physical tools similar to Jimmy Graham. He is very raw and his route running and football knowledge is most likely very minimal, just get him in space down field against 5'10-6'2, DB or LB's or ins the redzone and toss the ball up for him. He could be a scary mismatch teams just couldn't prepare for.

Not sure what his chances are that he will actually make the team but I'm rooting for the guy and wouldn't really care if both him and Luke Wilson allowed us to cut Anthony McCoy who's upside is limited.

Yea, I'm kind of leaning this way also, I just hope that he "Gets it", because if he does, he's definitely tooled up to become a monster TE.

I'm in on Fells too. On the Real Rob Report where they were working out in CA, he can be seen in the background making a one handed catch on a ball thrown behind him and he makes it look absolutely effortless. Hopefully he can pick up the offense and route running skills, because based on that one catch, I could tell he has the physical tools.

You know I've been on #HumbleThugs bandwagon since the birth of his draft interview, but I wanna switch things up. I remain firmly planted on his bandwagon, but I think my adopt a rookie is gonna have to be Alvin Bailey. I was actually looking for the Hawks to draft Bailey. I'm suprised he fell out of the draft, but am very glad the hawks picked him up and are giving him a chance.

Not sure if this guy qualifies but i'm going Zach Miller. I'm expecting a few more ATL playoff game type performances out of him this yeah. Hopefully the OLine can stay healthy and he's able to get out in the passing game a bit more.

Put me down for LB Korey Toomer. Toomer has the length and athletic ability the coaching staff want at LB, he ran a 4.5 40-yard with a 40-inch vertical. He played LB 2 years at JUCO, but only started one year at LB while at Idaho so he was considered a little raw coming out of college. Now having been coached up by NFL coaching this could be his year to take the starting WLB spot.
