Personally I appreciate your enthusiasm, can't get behind it though.

Maybe mid week when I get my wind back. Today was a gut punch that knocked it out of me.

I get that, been there many times myself, nothing personal about it.
I just see many reasons for optimism compared to years past. O line looked good, d line was good too, QB play was efficient, running game showed flashes, JSN is a legit #1 and I trust in our coaching staff. Its a long season, this is just game 1. Should have had this one, totally agree, but we're just getting started with quite a few new faces.

I don’t think I was watching the same game you were. But I was at Lumen Field from 12:30 to around 4 pm, inside the stadium, in a seat, with a ticket and I had my eyes open. Weird.

Why not? If they want to watch bad football, they can already watch the Titans, Panthers or Giants for free.
But if the football gets better, makes sense for them to pay the $30-$40 a month to get it on Sunday Ticket. I'm hopeful but I wouldn't pay for bad football either. I did that for years when I had Season Tickets to the Seahawks Pre-Carroll.

When the 49ers are missing that many important pieces - you are supposed to win.

The Hawks' defense wasn't great.

The Hawks' offense wasn't even good.

Not sure what to think, but I had 3 people tell me today they cancelled Sunday ticket (they live in TN, NY, and NC and bought it to follow the Hawks) today because it probably won't be worth it to pay to watch this team.
We will see. This is just game 1, but many of the teams we face will be better than the 49ers team we just played AT HOME. And we really struggled today on both sides of the ball.

What would have been a great defense? We had two interceptions and a blocked field gold. Curse him all you want, but Purdy is a very efficient QB statistically. CMac was 100% (despite contrary reports) and is a top 3 running back in the NFL, but only rushed for 69 yards. The D held them to 17 points even though they were forced to defend over 63% of the game.

If the last drive (Riq) was the tipping point for you, I understand though.

Most offenses stunk this week including Detroits. Ultimately came down to the Kupp drop and jsn fumble on offense and woolen x2 making really bad mistakes. Not going for it on 4th down near the end was frustrating but I kind of get after the rams game last year. I think they'll improve especially with the timing of darnold with the receivers

We scored 13 points and only accumulated 230 total yards of offense. Only 5 offenses scored fewer points than ours, and only 3 had fewer yards.

We led nearly wire to wire. Nearly won the game. Our defense couldn't stop Kittle. So big problem there. Have to loose up the box or a good d will just shut us down.

Cody White is our kick returner. He was solid. Good hands and athleticism.

Tricking people in the nfl is rare. We needed to run slants and have guys just run to the flat. We overthought it. Had a leash on Darnold. He looked fine.

Still in it because of defense. I thought it might take some games for the offense to come tegether.

I'm not even mad. Yeah, they should have won the game, but didn't. Sam Darnold is a mediocre QB and always has been (except last season with a genius level coaching staff and better players) and always will be. Eh,,,,,etc,,etc,,etc,,.

I like MM and he's doing the best he can with what he has, but its going to take a true QBotF before they will ever move forward, and I don't think Milroe is it. Buckle in. Its going to be a few years guys.

Take an average QB from an excellent offense and place him into a less talented offense and you get what we saw. I don't really blame Darnold, he is what he is.

I think this is going to be a long rebuild.......
