Geno has literally lost games with fumbles in the pocket on the last drive. That wasn't Sam's fault at all.

How was it not Sam's fault? If you are a competent QB, you know how to move to avoid pressure instead of standing like a dumbass statue. This was the reason he's bounced from team to team. Last year was a fluke because Minnesota has some sort of magic fielding competent teams almost every year regardless of who they put out there

Sustained drives. TOP. They killed us there. Just felt like the dam was about to break most the game. And then it did. Shouldn't have gotten to that point. I know Woolen blew it today, but I put more on the offense's inability to stay on the field. And imo, it was on the offensive play-calling.

I'm not even mad. Yeah, they should have won the game, but didn't. Sam Darnold is a mediocre QB and always has been (except last season with a genius level coaching staff and better players) and always will be. Eh,,,,,etc,,etc,,etc,,.

I like MM and he's doing the best he can with what he has, but its going to take a true QBotF before they will ever move forward, and I don't think Milroe is it. Buckle in. Its going to be a few years guys.

We won the last time we played SF.

Yeah, late in the season when they were injured and beat up. Earlier in the year, at Lumen, we got beat by 2 scores. When it was our best against theirs, it was never really close. Now, it was a close game all day with 1's against 1's and I'm optimistic moving forward.

The Hawks' defense wasn't great.

The Hawks' offense wasn't even good.

Not sure what to think, but I had 3 people tell me today they cancelled Sunday ticket (they live in TN, NY, and NC and bought it to follow the Hawks) today because it probably won't be worth it to pay to watch this team.
We will see. This is just game 1, but many of the teams we face will be better than the 49ers team we just played AT HOME. And we really struggled today on both sides of the ball.

Bottom line, this was a good game as a football fan. Yes, some bone headed mistakes *cough*cutWoolentomorrow*cough*, but this was a closer game than it would have been last year. Sucks to not get the W today against a division opponent, but I feel good about where we're at and going.
