The great thing about good Sportsmanship is it facilitates the ability to learn from the opposition thru appreciating the competition. -- Anonymous

The off season is a great time to look for and reflect on good detailed articles. If you run across one, by all means post it with a fresh descriptive title. :2thumbs:

Did you make up a quote and credit "anonymous" to start your thread?

Honestly curious.

Your clearly an astute observer.

Mr. Anonymous seems to enjoy unquestioned acceptance. He just doesn't suffer the blow back named sources experience.

49ers just made some incredible moves that paid off. That's not easy. It was crazy seeing Sherman healthy, Emmanuel Sanders was unstoppable, and Mostert just went off!

People clearly missed the point with the 49ers.

If your Dline has 2 players drafted in the top 3 of the draft to go along with top 10 pick and a top 20 pick in the draft. Your Dline is going to be pretty damn good.

The entire 49ers defense was built around "sick em" nothing new, nothing groundbreaking. Also, Robert Saleh is going to get hired and fired with the GM that hires him in under two years of his hire date.

It's been said before; putting themselves in position to draft those defensive players near the top of the draft for several years was some amazing strategy.

In fairness, so did the Hawks in SB49. Minus Jeremy Lane, minus Cliff Avril from in-game injuries. Anybody know... did the Niners lose a CB and #1 edge rusher during the game, or equivalent losses? Or was it their full #1 D at the point Mahomes brought it home?

It's a very easy template. We just suck for the next five seasons, get a top pick in the draft every year due to the NFL rules forcing parity, and draft a Chase Young or Nick Bosa every season until we're artificially good for a tiny window until those lottery picks all want second contracts and then we suck again.

As a sports fan, a team trying to win in both the short-term and long-term may not be practical but it is laudable. I don't care what some people think, the journey absolutely matters as much as the destination does.

Exacrly.

SF picked very early for years. They better be good.
Saleh isnt anything special and he looks like a gork pumping his fist on the sideline.
