No, but a pretender wants to avoid a bunch of teams, instead of having the confidence of not giving a crap who you play.
Not necessarily, at this point all teams are beat up, injured etc. from the regular season. If your biggest threats have a tougher road it could make things easier for your team. Let them beat each other up.

I just dont see the whiners beating the eagles. I don't care how many games the whiners won this year. I see the eagles steam rolling them. The only credit I give to the whiners is this maybe the best coaching year Kyle has ever had. It will come to an end this Sunday.

This isn't about being afraid. It's about talking football, strategy, matchups, etc. it's kind of what a forum is for, beyond just waxing poetic about how much one loves his/her team or a given player

Yeah. We can beat anyone, anywhere. We are afraid of nobody. But there are teams who, given their makeup, present a greater challenge to our team. iMO, the Eagles are one of those teams. The Rams are the other. So if I am looking at the path of least resistance for us to reach the SB, not having to blame one or both of them represents that path.

In the AFC... The Jags, oddly enough.
Yeah the eagles seem like the team that matches up against us best. I just think the 49ers offense is gonna come alive against philly, and I’m just not that worried about Jalen hurts

If Walker & Charbs can run all over SF's D, what do you imagine Barkley can do behind Philly's OL? Also add Hurts' threat of running.
Yeah, but Hurts is supposed to be a quarterback and he's not a good one. Can anyone even point to a single game where the Eagles struggled a lot and HURTS was able to carry them to a win? I don't mean one drive for a TD in a game, I mean a game where HE was the clear and objective reason they won, while the team was struggling overall in that game; not beating up on terrible defenses, etc.

I've felt that Hurts was getting overrated in recent years. If you take away his physical strength as a runner, I just don't see him as anywhere near the top as a passer. I'd take Darnold over him in that way every day of the week. The guy's got as strong of a receiving corp as you could reasonably ask for, an All-Pro running back, and an offensive line that, until very recently due to injuries and other concerns, ranked at the top of the league.
