As well the Connor Williams acquisition is possibly pending as the team negotiates with him on contract terms. Sure seems like they are not happy with the interior OLine and are working hard at rebuilding it.

Olu so far hasn’t shown much of anything while Williams has at 27 proven he is quality starter at both C and G. The others seem to be JAGs.

I think they are stacking depth and possible PS candidates, you have to throw out all we know since this scheme is not the Pete Tom Cable no block but shadow scheme, we are looking for guys with a different skill set I think and may actually ask a Guard or Center to pull.

I agree and think we are going to see a tougher and better Oline this year. As well given the improvement in the DLine there will be some improvement of the OLine following the iron sharpens iron type thinking.

Yep the press conference isn’t really roster news,or discussion.

On point, the team has extended SS- Julian Love for 3 yrs estimated contract $36 mil. There is a suspicion this could result in a small cap saving.

Sorry John I guess I missed you post with the Schefter announcement, thanks for posting.

For me the Love extension is great news.

I'm jacked at the talent we have on the D-line and hopeful they can set up our linebackers to be what they need to be.
I noticed .com covered day 1 of TC with an extensive 181 image barrage of photos of our current roster. That's a lot to wade through but with all the new faces I gave it a shot. For a touch of humor from a most unphotogenic guy I submit the biggest surprise for me was when I saw the face of Ty Okada. That face just wasn't what I expected to see matched with that name.

Thanks my friend, always appreciate your help here.

There sure is going to be a war for roster and PS spots at WR. Roster churn indeed.

..................... all salary.

Edit: This signing did reduce the 51 man cap space by only $117,287. Cap space at OTC is now at $8,488,020 at the time of this post.

Thanks guys, greatly appreciated.

Some roster moves today: https://www.seahawks.com/news/seahawks-sign-dt-rodney-mathews

DT- Rodney Matthews added and ILB- Easton Gibbs is released.

Updated.

Here's some draft info on Matthews: You'll need to scroll down in the post.

This player seems to be more of a camp body than anything else.

Gibbs received $20K signing bonus and an additional $20K guaranteed salary, so a bit of a surprise he didn't last this long .... although he did start camp on NFI, so that clearly didn't help.

Thanks John, suspect this was more of a short term necessity type release.

Somehow I don't really believe the team is done at ILB and are waiting for the right player or the right time which could be after the 1st week of regular season so the contract isn't guaranteed.

As well, noticing the available cap has increased to >$10 mil. we just may see other veteran signings.
