It is nice to see this team not let a bad game or series snowball into a streak. I like the fact that they've repeatedly shown an ability to fight back in adverse situations. It's something that's been missing up until this season.

1.5 game lead for the second wild card spot. With more help from Minnesota against the Tigers in the second game tonight the Mariners could have a two game lead with Iwakuma going tomorrow. If the Angels get by the Athletics tonight then we will only be five back of the first wildcard spot.

Mariners are 12 games over .500 for the first time since 2007.

Well, Iwakuma has decided to shit the bed today. Bases loaded, two outs, and one run in with almost forty pitches thrown in the bottom of the first.

Gave up a a two-run single to a guy batting .190 on the season. There are already arms up in the Mariner's bullpen.

Well after a 45 minute 1st inning we're back to where we started, a tie ball game. Boston sure has gotten to our pitchers early this series. Felix goes 5.2, Young went 3.2 and Kuma has 39 pitches in 1 inning.

Cano has been pulled from the game. Looks to be precautionary as he went from first to third and showed no signs of being injured. Hopefully it is not a dreaded oblique.
