I feel like play action works really well vs our defense it seems we always bite near the goal line.

This is why it is so important to get the ball in while the field is open from the 10-15 yard line. Now if it is a 6 point game and before the 4th quarter, I do NOT want to see any 4th and goal attempts, I want to see the FG. Riverboat Ron did it TWICE with poor play calling. I cannot believe that the Panthers pulled that garbage in a defensive game.

Even if the Niners have the lead, every point counts in the end, unless it has to be done to win the game I want FGs and not 4th down attempts from the 1. My only change to this is if the Hawks are pushing that Niners DLine around because they are worn. Lynch has been a Niner killer from the 20, so I am hoping that he can maintain that level.

But the one team that can play the run at the line is SF. Bowman, Willis, Brooks and that line is far more vulnerable to PA than they are straight ahead runs.

I think historically we've done pretty well running it off tackle with Lynch against the Whiners on goal line situations. I don't remember us ever trying to ram it up the middle like Carolina tried last week. We will either run off tackle or boot leg play action pass it to Zach Miller.

These have all been great suggestions. One thing we haven't done in a while is for a WR ...like Tate.... have him take a flying leap over the line....about 6 ft. in the air ought to do it. The last 360° he did into the Endzone was spectacular! ;)

I almost like that idea.
