Pete’s reaction to ET’s middle finger. Quite an odd response if you ask me. IMO, the Pete we know, if he thought it was directed towards him, would have said “silly earl” or “it’s an emotional game” or some other type of Pete-ism deflection. The fact that he said “it’s a big stadium” when the reporter was obviously at least inferring it was directed towards Pete, was essentially “there are other people it could have been directed towards”, gives me the opinion he thinks Eat was flipping off the person responsible for the current situation - John Schneider.

I thought it was a pretty funny reply, given that the press were probably expecting something serious or baked in platitudes.

I miss the days when the Steve Largents of the world were the original Toe Drag Swag and doing nothing more than handing the ball to the refs like it was a loaf of bread. Now we have prima donna's like ET who feels it is somehow necessary and appropriate to flip off his own sideline with the world watching.

Love what you have meant and done for us Earl but you have a lot to learn from someone like Steve Largent.
