There are things about RW to be grateful as a fan. But HE didn't want to be here in the end...and it ended badly IMHO. I don't wish to sound to vindictive.....but I for one ain't feeling it. When he left I was happy to see him go....VERY HAPPY about the trade. For me, in the simplest terms, it was "go away and stay away", and I still feel that way.

I’ll be in the minority, but that’s fine. SeahawkSteve80 stands firm on his beliefs.

Yes! Russell deserves to retire a Seahawk based on what he did for the entirety of his career, not just at the very end. I love you Russell!!
Your not in the minority. It's just the very bitter and angry fans are loudest and tend to vent their anger here a lot.

Not at all. Everyone has their own opinion and entitled to such. Can’t blame some people for hating him for his lack of respect to the city and organization as a whole. JS built this team of the exact opposites of Russ. I’m fine with whatever they do but I want him nowhere near this team ever again. I speak for myself when I say I’m not angry or bitter. I’m on to 2027

I voted no, he made his bed with the organization and us fans as well. He wanted out and got his wish.
He is a phony person, and I lost my respect for him the way he ended it (trying to get PC and JS fired).
However, I will always be grateful for his contributions for helping us win the first owl, but that is it.
I’m leaning this way. He was damn good for 3-5 years. Things changed. His legacy will forever be remembered as corny 🌽. Sad, actually.

He wanted out, he got out. I consider him the best QB in franchise history, but I'm not making any special concessions for him at this point. I honestly don't even care if he gets the ROH, although I assume he likely will.

Besides, he announced his retirement already. Either he didn't want to, got rejected by the team, or was too afraid to ask.

I will trust John Schneider's opinion before anyone, including myself, on this board.
If he deems it appropriate, it's all good.
If he doesn't deem it appropriate, I'm good with that too.

I don't want him in the Ring of Honor, I don't want him to Retire a Seahawk, I don't want him to ever raise the flag. Thank you for helping get us a Trophy... screwing a chance at a second one. but you had pedestrian receivers making you look amazing and a generational RB, with a generational defense on a low salary. Second one should have been easy.

Im over it...Its good I still have that jersey somewhere.. I like Others said above.. and Mike had said... Do not care.

He may eventually get into the HOF.. but not first ballot... might take a few years depending on how quality works out over the years

Edit: For mention.. a lot of our ring of honor members (outside of zorn) only played one year or two years with another team after us...

Did not play for another NFL team after Seattle: Steve Largent, Kenny Easley, Cortez Kennedy, and Walter Jones all ended their playing careers with Seattle.

7 Seahawks Ring of Honor players to play for other teams after Seattle: Jim Zorn, Dave Brown, Curt Warner, Jacob Green, Dave Krieg, Matt Hasselbeck, and Shaun Alexander. -- None exceeded 2 years except Zorn.

For HOF

Apparently : Pro Football Reference’s QB Hall of Fame Monitor -- Wilson 94.82, just below the “around average modern-era inductee” mark of 100.

QBPass yardsPass TDRush yardsPro BowlsMVP / All-ProSuper Bowl résumé
Russell Wilson46,9663533,749100 MVP, 0 first-team All-Pro1–1 in Super Bowls
Fran Tarkenton47,0033423,67491 MVP, 1 first-team All-Pro0–3 in Super Bowls

QBWhy comparableWhy different
John Elway51,475 yards, 300 TDs, 2 Super Bowls, 9 Pro BowlsMore yards, fewer TDs, bigger “carried franchise” narrative, two late titles. Hall bio notes 300 passing TDs plus 33 rushing TDs.
Warren Moon49,325 yards, 291 TDs, 9 Pro BowlsSimilar yardage, fewer TDs, no Super Bowl, but had the CFL legend piece and was one of the most prolific passers ever when he retired.
Terry Bradshaw / Bart StarrSimilar Hall-of-Fame-monitor neighborhood to WilsonNot statistically comparable at all; they are in because of dynasty/championship legacy. PFR’s QB Hall monitor places Wilson near Bradshaw and Starr numerically, but that reflects résumé weighting, not raw passing stats.

I feel like this is a beyond just JS choice... How does it work out if we sell the team before it happens? Do they do it just to do it.. and piss off X percent of the fan base. Plenty of people are very sour on RW and will always be. His evolution was something to write in Movies (But not in a good light haha)
