I have found a way to replace D.K Metcalf! We draft...wait for it!

Chimere Dike! (Last name pronounced like D.K). Boom. Replaced D.K with Dike.

For real though. Dike is a legit option in the middle to late rounds. Legit speed to take the top off the defense.

While reading this thread I was like "Bobo can catch but I have never seen a crazy burst of speed from him".

It turns out his UCLA pro day 40 time was 4.99.

Hey, we had a WR that didn't run after the catch before and that turned out okay. Extend Bobo now!

Aiyuk and Deebo. Kupp and Puka. Those guys aren't burners. That's not what this style of offense needs. You guys are thinking we need to replace DK with some all pro, but you're wrong. The #2 we need in this offense is something that is not that hard to find and actually a skill set that's being undervalued in today's NFL. Fans want Tyreek Hill, but smart NFL teams know they're looking for someone more like Hines Ward. How many super bowls has Hill been to since being traded? How many does Jefferson have? Adams? Chase? Oh it's all zero? Wr is one of the most overrated positions in football. Period.

I predict the Seahawks are going to sign Elijah Moore to a 2 year deal.

This is the equivalent to the Julian Love at the safety position. Uchenna Nwosu before him. Cliff Avril before him. These have been Schneider's best moves besides some of his trades.

For some reason, these players were overlooked and undervalued. The point is their talent exceeds their market value. Moore is at the right age and hopefully if he plays well, you extend him after the first year.

Sign Moore during the 2nd wave of F.A (which is where we are now). Draft Matthew Golden in the 1st or Jaylin Noel/Jayden Higgins in the 2nd. Pretty good core there.

Schneider does seem to know how to scout and pick receivers - Lockette was a third rounder, Metcalf was the last pick of the second round, Golden Tate was the 60th pick (near the end of the 2nd round), Baldwin and Kearse were UDFAs. Those 5 guys are in the Seahawks top 20 receiving leaders, and JSN is at #22. Have there been some misses in there too? Sure (Eskridge and no doubt some others), but no one is perfect. If he had the same success with offensive linemen, we'd have a solid line right now. I'm pretty confident that we'll have some good receiver options in training camp.

There have been a lot of misses.

- Percy Harvin (If you count him)
- Kris Durham
- Amara Darboh
- Kenny Lawler
- John Ursua
- Dee Eskridge
- Kevin Norwood

It's about 50/50.

I wasn't counting trades, but I wouldn't think of Harvin as a miss either. Injury isn't a scouting problem; he was diagnosed with the hip injury months after the trade.

Harvin aside, I would really only count Eskridge and Darboh as misses on your list, since they were in the second and third rounds respectively. You want someone who will contribute to the team in those positions. The fact I didn't even recognize Darboh's name says something to me. :)

Norwood and Durham were both 4th rounders, where you at least hope you're getting a depth player, but a lot of 4th rounders don't make the team. If you wanted to call those 'misses', I wouldn't argue but wouldn't completely agree either.

I would consider anyone in rounds 5 to 7 who makes the team to be a resounding success. Lawler and Ursua were both 7th rounders. Ursua actually made the team and was eventually let go after a torn ACL. Not great, but not a miss. Lawler made the practice squad, which I wouldn't consider a miss in the 7th round either.

I think bobo can be a number 2/3 if given the chance. He has great hands and can get open. Plus he’s a great blocker.
I think he will get more looks as #3 for his blocking. It will keep the run a good option on 3rd downs. And yeah, I'd like to see them use him more on jump balls.

Eskridge and Darboh were flops, but guys drafted later than them aren't really expected to do anything, they're typically just ST guys that you hope to get lucky with. Nobody is hitting on those regularly.

Keep in mind we're going to be running a lot more 12, 13, and 22 personnel this year. JSN, MVC, and Bobo will be fine to start the year with, not to mention whomever we add in the draft.
