I was explaining that those who are annoyed and angered by Swift are a very specific demographic of older, white frustrated angry conservative men..............both in the media and political world, and I've spent enough time in the god forsaken Politics forum to see it's those same people here.

For the 10th time, I apologize if that irritates you to deal with that realization if you fit into this demographic.

Kelce was asked yesterday about Swift and the "distraction" she has caused. He said he feels incredibly blessed and lucky to have someone who loves him enough to move heaven and earth to fly all over the world to support him.

If THAT annoys you? You got some deep emotional problems my brother.
Just so funny how you can just attach that label to everyone who has a different opinion...carry on though...its the thing to do now.

It's not my opinion, it's what's happening.

If you'd like to refute my factual information, then please do so. By all means, show me all the young people, minorities and liberals who hate to see Taylor Swift on their NFL broadcasts.

You would have to have Madonna or Cher show up with a man crush on Reid or Shanahan for that to happen.

Remember when all the same types of people complained about too many Jessica Simpson shots at Cowboy's games when she was dating Romo?

View attachment 64625

So yes, if a famous player was dating a Kardashian or J-Lo, they'd still be complaining. Swift's political views have only amplified the fake outrage.

Which again, is evidence that it is simply the involvement of players' romantic partners that people find annoying.

If it was a problem with women, then people would bitch about players' moms, daughters, sisters, etc. they'd bitch about every woman they show in the stands. Yet, they don't.

Meh, just ignore it. Her total onscreen time is probably less than 2 minutes total. She's not hurting anyone. I guess I've just shifted to laughing at how people make it ruin their experience. It has zero impact on you, me or anyone else. It doesn't ruin how much I enjoy a game. It WAS annoying, now it's just like white noise.
I've learned to screen out the announcers, turn them into white noise as you say. But it's difficult to do that visually when they show a close up of her and those clown face red lips followed by the realization that they're doing it to attract casual viewers, most of whom wouldn't know a football from a kumquat.
And that Dennis Miller thing, that was a next level forcing someone on people. SOOOO bad :ROFLMAO:
You've got that right. I used to think Howard Cosell was bad, and the aforementioned booth guests were downright silly. But Dennis Miller took the cake. It would have been more entertaining if they had Rosie O'Donnell as their color commentator. Fortunately, it only lasted a couple of seasons before they came to their senses.

Not sure how much you look at social media, but 99% of the people attacking Swift are smack dab in the demographic I described above.

No one else has a problem with her, or her being shown on TV, or her enthusiasm for her boyfriend's success. Or even think about her in general. Or care.
Like most social media driven "outrages" I think its talked about than it's actually a problem. I'm in conservative country and I can't find anyone talking about it on any social media platform. But I can find a ton of people talking about others being outraged. I've seen a comment or two but its usually "I'm over the Taylor Swift thing" and that's it. Zero outrage or constant discussion about it.

I love what she's doing and I like her music. My kids go nuts over it and we have fun with it.

Yes, because it's the mental and emotional depravity and sickness with certain people. To be angry and wish ill will of people who are more attractive and successful than they are.

So no, it's not just about seeing a happy Jessica Simpson or Taylor Swift in a suite for 25 seconds a game. It goes much deeper for these men.

So idk what to tell you fender, you better not watch the SB. Cause they're going to show Swift A LOT. Hopefully you'll put your brave big boy pants on, and somehow make it through your own personal emotional Vietnam.

I have nothing against her. There's a lot worse role models in this world.

She seems to empower young women and she seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Haven't heard much of her music to form an opinion on her career.

All I know is she's rich, popular and around my age. Hats off to her

Please provide a link to the extensive and conclusive peer reviewed study on this.

Thanks.

Also, you're basically saying that players' moms and sisters and whoever else they are related to are not also often successful people. Many of them are. Why aren't these mentally sick people wishing I'll on them?

Ain't nobody mad about moms and sisters, just the attractive girlfriends.

Hmm, wonder why that is?

A quick search turned up 143,000,000 results. Several near the top revealed varied demographics of the originators.

This is from November: "It's not just the men. Data shows only a 1% difference between the sexes' reported Taylor-fatigue — 89.9% for men and 88.9% for women. As for age brackets, respondents in their thirties are the most vocally disdainful, with a disapproval rate topping 92%, while those 24-and-under and 76-and-over are slightly more tolerant of "Traylor" at around 87%. And although Kansans and Missourians remain among the least disillusioned by the Swift inundation, a resounding 85.9% and 83.8% want to see less of her, respectively.

Personally I don't mind it in the least.
