Oh.. I blame Dan a ton.. but.. these players... They got to the ALCS.. and now are just ... winging it? Our Rookies feel hungry... a few other players.. but everyone else... just on cruise control. This Mariners team feels like the USMT team in the worldcup honestly. Its infuriating. I gotta put on a happy face for my kid on the 20th of this month when we go and paid about 430 for our tickets (100 level three people home dugout side 119) and.. then the overpriced food and beer.

I dont buy into the hitting coach etc BS.. unless they are REALLY that bad and players can't see their own mistakes in 2026 being able to review every AB in the dugout on a ipad.

Scoring runs if your pitchers are A) giving up 8 hits everytime he starts B) Giving up HRs and early heavy inning runs, with some bone head defensive headscratchers

The ridiculous sub and pinch hitting seems to have slowed, but they still aren't hitting with bases loaded, runners where they are. Is that really on Dan? is it him telling them to "Hit a home run" in signs? Like.. what else could be going on here honestly.

Marlins are just a straight up better team, period.

They're about to be 10 games over .500, and they play in a much better league and much better division. The M's are about to be .500 even, in a terribly weak division, and much weaker league.

Also, the Marlins hitting is miles better. They're top 6 in team BA, OBP, and OPS. The Mariners are bottom 5 in BA and OPS, and bottom 8 in OBP.

M's have the edge in pitching overall, statistically speaking, but the M's also play half their games in the outlier most pitching friendly ballpark in MLB. Take a look at our starting pitchers road splits. They're not near as good on the road.

The Marlins are a good team. The Mariners are mediocre, and it's looking very likely they'll be under .500 at the break.

There are some things I blame on Dan, but the piss poor hitting, yet again, I don't blame on Dan. There are a lot of issues with this team that have been plaguing them for far longer than the 2 years that Dan has been here.

I do think that Dan is doing a poor job and should be replaced with a real MLB manager, but I think Dipoto is the bigger problem. Dipoto builds the roster. He's been here since 2015. They've almost always been a poor hitting/scoring team under Dipoto. I understand that the ballpark is a factor, but we've seen waaay too many bottom 5 to bottom 10 hitting teams under Dipoto. It can't just be shrugged away with "welp, ballpark" anymore after 11 years. It's well past time to move on from Dipoto.

But the fact is, every single one of those guys is just as likely to be the next Kelenic as they are to ever be a good player at the major league level. Meanwhile, we are once again witnessing a bottom 5 hitting team built by Jerry Dipoto. Rinse and repeat. Every damn season.

But the fact is, every single one of those guys is just as likely to be the next Kelenic as they are to ever be a good player at the major league level. They absolutely refuse to sell high on these prospects to get real players. That's what a farm system is for. Harry Ford absolutely sucks, I knew that guy was never going to hit, because he just never dominated the minors, & they sold low on him instead of dealing him a year earlier. That guy is Alex Jackson part 2.

What stacked farm system for hitters? When they get called up, none of them do anything except add more to the strikeout totals.

Dipoto should have been gone eons ago. He's like a leap year for GMs....has one good year after 3 poor ones but that one year seems to save him for some weird reason.
